Thursday May 30th, Ascension Day, we confirmed that Invisible will stop releasing music. The drum & bass label was launched in 2010 as the experimental and new-talent-championing leg of our original flagship imprint Vision and multiple genre label Division.

All good things must come to an end, though. We will release three Invisible compilations with the name ‘INVISIBLE Definition’ to close the catalogue over the coming months and this is the third one. And while it seems like the end of an era, it’s actually the start of a new one. Nik and Thijs explain in an interview with UKF:

The U.K.-based producer returns to the imprint and delivers a beautiful set of Liquid compositions that show off his keen song-writing ability.  Dan Guidance continues to build an impressive catalogue of songs, and the “Instant Connection EP” is another journey into his creative world.  

The release kicks off with the hypnotic sounds of the title track, “Instant Connection.”  The song is highlighted by steady ticking drums, warping keys, edgy mid-basslines, and a mesmorizing backdrop os synth pads and strings. “Fuzzy Buzz,” is up next and drifts along with its warm piano chords, crunchy drums, rolling sub-bassline, and ethereal vocals.  “Find Me,” is up next and captures a more dance floor vibe with its reese baseline, epic vocals, drenched backdrop, and stripped down drum pattern.  Dan Guidance lays down the wicked Liquid/Jungle vibes in the track, “This is the Last Time.”  The track blends wandering horn riffs, echoing vocals, and a warm sub-baseline, falling underneath a choppy Jungle break.  “When There’s Soul,” rounds things out in style with its echoing piano keys, airy pads, snappy drums, and bouncing bassline.  Dan Guidance continues to make a name for himself in the production scene.  The Instant Connection EP will further expose the listeners to the magical production skills that he possesses. I've been starting my sets with Crustacean since version 0.2 (and I still do) and it's working like a charm. Later I removed the info in rekordbox, as too many people were checking the ID, haha. It took a while to find the perfect flow as there are so many different sounds. But when I got it, it's been one of my favorites.

FSRECS017: Forbidden Society 'Armor EP'  out on 23/04 on Forbidden Society Recordings

First single 'Chamber 67' taken from my new EP 'Armor' via nice people at NEST HQ. Full EP out April 23th. 

Forbidden Society has been showcasing a new side to his musical
reportoire over the last few releases. The Czech producer is musically
exploring the genres that are close to his heart, and after premiering his new
bits to some of his closest allies he decided that it's time for the world to know what he has been up to. Armor EP is a collection of tracks that carefully thread into deeper territories while maintaining the advanced sound design that FS is renown for.

The title track Armor is a work of percussion laden complexity. Taints of industrial and tech sounds are balanced out by daring rhythms and otherworldly FX. Chamber 67 is a somewhat more rugged cut that goes very tech influenced. The Czech producer goes more avant-garde then before and has the clever programming of the advanced sounds in this track to show for. The Cold Man resumes on this path. This track is based around
a futuristic vocal and thumping drums that stay energetic throughout. 
''Threshold'' is maybe the most emotive FS work you've heard before. A meditative female vocal floats on the rolling drum work like a cloud. This showcases a more soulful side to the new palette FS has been exploring on this record. All things come to an end and therefor ''Forget The Past'' has been chosen as the final cut on this record.
Beautifully rich piano textures are the centre of this melancholic piece of Drum & Bass. A breezy atmosphere contradicts the dark tones of the advanced synth bass sounds that serve as the back bone of this release. For avid followers of Forbidden Society. Don't be afraid, the producer is expanding his horizons with music that he has always loved. This doesn't mean that he won't put out records in the sound you are used to in the future. This is just a new side path that completes the musical world of FS' liking.
