We Have to Go Back (Sample)

Schubert Impromptu - D899 No. 2

A tribute to all those hours in the life that we loose with utterly senseless stuff and that vanish into oblivion. Not the hours that we loose on necessary evils like household chores but rather the ones like doomsscrolling where we know, we could and should have used them better. But then in the end - does it really make a difference in the long run?
 
Three times the same motive with different turns after a few seconds respectively (at @0:00, @0:57, @1:50).  And an appendix  @2:19 with an open quesion and the hint of an answer.

Again, this composition will come with lyrics in due course, however, since I don't have access to my studio currently, this will take some time - will likely publish some other things before.

Elegy for the hours

More than a little indisposed, yet not fully out of service, there's always some great music to sing and play.

"Sotto le stelle del Jazz" was written by Paolo Conte in 1983, and released on his third eponymous album.

Guitar by my son Gideon.

We hope you'll enjoy it, and I whisper "I love you" ;)

I will not try an English translation this time, cause the lyrics are full of allegories, and after all I'm not a poet :)

Beyond Forgetting is a piece written for my mother while going through the stages of chemo brain.  The forgetting, the lack of recall, wishing for things that no longer existed... Twenty-five years of suffering until finally passing away at age 89.  She was so loved and well-taken care of during this time. We as family had a longing of what once was in her life and ours.  Humbleness is perhaps the gift that was most learned during this time.  For there was no opportunity for selfishness, but simply showing love to a dear, dear beautiful mother.

Ioannis was born in 1989 in Thessaloniki, Hellas. He is a pianist and a composer, and has music experience beginning early in his childhood. In addition to being a vocalist and songwriter in local bands, Ioannis has been composing and writing the lyrics of his songs, as well as orchestrating them.
Ioannis is currently an independent solo artist, responsible for the whole spectrum of orchestration and arrangement in his music.
