Nickodemus is a traveler at heart—a connector of worlds, scenes, and people since the mid-90s. Over his extensive career as a touring DJ and producer, including 5 albums and canonical tunes like “My Swing es Tropical” and “Cleopatra in New York”, he’s helped pave the way for an inimitable mix of global fusion and the heavy beats we yearn for in the club. His music has long thrived on the close relationships and mutual respect of friends he’s built across the continents, felt through the worldly potions he cooks up in the studio, and spanning electronic sounds rooted in Latin, African, and Eastern instrumentation. His latest album, A Long Engagement, serves as a culmination of the inspirations he’s absorbed and remains rooted in his life as native New Yorker and the city’s nostalgic energy. 

Nickodemus’ sound is often focused on the connective tissue of his many live collaborations and the electronic solitude of his studio (or record-filled bubble, as he calls it). Through his much-loved label Wonderwheel Recordings, he’s not only regularly releasing some of the most soul-shaking, eclectic sounds in the biz, but focusing deeply on artist development and creating long-lasting moments that live on far longer than their track length. The music you hear in his releases are filled with expression, reflection, and care; they’re both open-minded and deeply focused, a rarity at time in today’s overcrowded music industry. 

As a remixer, he’s also lent his “Remix Machine” to a wide range of artists including pioneers like Bob Marley and Nina Simone, as well as other like minded genre-welders like Thievery Corporation, Quantic, and Mr. Scruff. Throughout his career he’s also carved an important niche in the live music scene with his beloved Turntables on the Hudson parties, that have popped up everywhere from New York to Cairo.  
 
Currently on tour around Europe & USA, his latest album "Soul and Science" is another portrait into the importance of shared ideas and the dialogue artists can share when they look past language or place of birth. It’s another bass-heavy global party and we’re all invited.

Mimi established her career in 2003, drawing influences from Funky House, House, Deep House, and Tech House genres. She is well-known for her smooth mixing style across various house music genres. At the age of 18, Mimi began her journey in the nightlife industry as a hostess, managing cover charges and handling the VIP guest list. 

Over the years, she worked her way up in the industry, taking on roles in door management, glamping and hospitality services, bartending, promotions and marketing, ultimately becoming a DJ for numerous venues and events throughout San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Hawaii, Ecuador, and Baja California. Her diverse experience includes performances at nightclubs like Spin in San Diego, bars such as The Office in San Diego, and festivals including Love Fest in San Francisco. Mimi has collaborated with crews such as Soul On Beat, Siesta, Sublevel, Love Machine Festival, Disco Erotika, SuperFreq, Late Night Jackin’, Lady Lush, Lifted Entertainment, Giant (LA), and We Are One. 

She has had the honor of opening for notable DJs including Doc Martin, Pete Moss, Alix Alvarez, Tato, Halo, Joshua Heath, Colette, DJ Heather, DJ Dayhota, Lazaro Casanova, David Alvarado, DJ Frances, Blackliquid (Hed Kandi UK), Derek Dunbar, Hector Moralez, Chuck Love, Roy Davis Jr., Miguel Migs, Gene Farris, Giano, Fred Everything, and Franky Boissy. 

After deciding to pursue graduate school, Mimi took a break from the nightlife scene for nearly six years. She has now returned and launched Mimi’s House Music & Travel. This venture includes sharing live recorded DJ sets on her SoundCloud channel, offering door management services for special events, and planning "ravecations," which will be available soon.

Raw. Analogue Techno. Techno flavored Techno. Roland 16-step focused live jammed beats. Guitar pedals, verb tanks, gates, modular patch cables, white noise, urban samples...all mixed to a techno/house grove with attention given to subtle modulations on nearly all parts of the track.
The artistic freedom to settle in, carve out the groove, paint the aesthetic, proceed with artistic integrity and intention, and liberate the music already inside. My hope is only to connect with the people looking for honest, uncompromising art, and inspire them again to see the future as we once did in the past in early Chicago and Detroit. The world is on a temporary detour in terms of commercialized techno and laptop DJ pandemonium. Vinyl...the only phuture vision worth holding on to...the last analogy to Detroit. Computers were never the future...they were always just a 2d facsimile of it. The future was only ever captured in the raw art, the rave innocence, of the modulation of machines, sample pads, and turntables. Peace, Love, Unity and Respect...all while dancing, trusting, dreaming of the future while jacking a bass bin at 5am. It was only ever about the music moving your body.  Miles, Mills, Mayday, Atkins, Voorn, Roy Davis Jr., Principle...those are the gentlemen on my mind tonight, as the music finds its way out of the liberated machines. Thee-O started DJing at the young age of 13 and by the time he was 18 in 1992, he started DJing in the thriving underground rave scene of Southern California. He has created a name for himself while changing genres and staying true to his integrity, committing to what he feels is the best in underground dance music. His consistency of skillful mixing and lively scratching has cemented “his sound” regardless of what genres co-mingle in his style.

In addition to his DJing, Thee-O is also an accomplished producer and remixer that have landed tracks on Bedrock, Suara, Perfecto, Looq, Drops and System Recordings to name just a few. His approach to music production mimics his DJing artistry in the aspect that genre comes second over the feeling of the music. Genres and styles are split, shattered and then reformed into songs that work on multiple dance floors.

Recently, he was DJing and producing with Robert Pointer (AKA Robtronik) under the name Stylus. Stylus is also responsible for some of the most engaging events to occur in Los Angeles . Their events have occurred in amazing venues such as King King in the heart of Hollywood, The Standard Rooftop in downtown LA and Los Globos in the trendy Silverlake area, while attracting international talent of both House and Techno to join in on the fun. Thee-O also continues to work with the LA Based "re:love" crew to plan and execute the legendary park parties as well as pushing the brand to extend itself into new venues and opportunities.

As of January 2019, Thee-O has relocated to Honolulu. He is already DJing on the islands and has played for events at venues like Nextdoor and Hawaiian Brian’s as well as the Tropical Oasis Retreat in Maui. While he is on the islands, the slower pace of life will allow him to work on music with less distractions and should increase his output. 

While a lot can be talked about when it comes to “Old School,” Thee-O walks the walk. He has accomplished a lot in his 24 years of being a DJ, producer and promoter and he is just getting started. He remains wildly popular while staying firmly planted into the underground scene and not falling into the hype that can surround the current EDM culture. With a new island home, new ventures, new branding, new tracks, and new ideas, the future is going to be one for the books with lots more to come from this music innovator.
