In a basement completely sheltered from noise and the outside world, without telephones or internet, I was able to reasonably compose around fifteen titles without any interference. This isolation will remain a beneficial event in more than one way.

Dans un sous-sol complètement à l'abri du bruit et du monde extérieur, sans téléphone ni internet, j'ai pu raisonnablement composer une quinzaine de titres sans aucune interférence. Cet isolement restera un événement bénéfique à plus d’un titre.

I was watching this film just before: "The Stalker" by Andreï Tarkovsky...

The Crazy Freedoms - If we give up our free will, our ability to think, and our freedom of expression, then we are lost forever.
There is nothing at the end of this tunnel, just a deep black where the light no longer exists. This is the gift and the poisonous promise made to us by the destructive and corrosive powers by granting us all kinds of very numerous pseudo-freedoms but which, in the end, make us slaves to ourselves and it is very difficult to then get out of it, because we practically allow ourselves to be confined in a straitjacket.

The Crazy Freedoms - Si nous abandonnons notre libre arbitre, notre capacité de penser et notre liberté d’expression, alors nous sommes perdus à jamais.
Il n’y a rien au bout de ce tunnel, juste un noir profond où la lumière n’existe plus. C'est le cadeau et la promesse empoisonnée que nous font les puissances destructrices et corrosives en nous accordant toutes sortes de pseudo-libertés très nombreuses mais qui, au final, nous rendent esclaves de nous-mêmes et dont il est très difficile ensuite d'en sortir, parce que nous nous laissons pratiquement enfermer dans une camisole de force.

So I have been on a dystopia kick lately.  This is a story about a young woman in a post apocalyptic world. As she stands at the edge of a cliff and looks on at the vast scorched Earth beneath her,  she remembers a simpler more beautiful world, filled with tranquility and peace. It was not  that long ago after all...she was enjoying it with her loved ones. And even though that world is gone and the reality is grim and harsh in the wake of one's survival, it's memory  somehow warms her heart and gives her hope and strength to  go on  and rebuild... a better future for her and those to follow...  

In any case...  that is my little story for this  musical beast lol. Decided to play with dubstep's closest cousin today... so that  is my take on DnB.  Enjoy...

Rock and Roll Kills

Back around 2015, I started taking guitar lessons from an instructor who was really into Bluegrass Music. I soon discovered that didn't have an aptitude for the guitar and didn't have a great desire to practice enough to make up for any natural ability. 
I did mention to my instructor that I had written a couple of songs and maybe our time would be better spent learning how to record these songs.
One day I tried to write a 'bluegrass" tune and titled it, "I've Done It Again." We recorded it. Years later, I wanted to revisit some of my earlier recordings and see what they might sound like with professional musicians. Nicky V. Hines, currently the lead guitarist with Shenandoah acted as musical director, guitarist, arranger, engineer, and producer for me on this finally finished new version. (Several versions have been posted on my SC page throughout the years. This will be the Spotify, Apple, Amazon etc version of which I shall make .002 of a penny every time it is played.) On bass is Martin Motnik currently a member of the popular European Heavy Metal Band "Accept." (Trust me, I have no idea how a country bumpkin like me ended up working with Heavy Metal - but I dig it.) On keyboards is the wonderful Tim McDonald , out of Nashville. On drums is another Nashvillian, Travis L.. Super people and very, very talented and experienced.
I like this version very much - musically. I think the mix is excellent (Nicky V. Hines) and I like how he took down the reverb on the vocal, it sounds a bit edgier, a little more vulnerable, and real. 
What's the song about? It's about not being able to take off the "masks" and take down the walls . Although "good lover" is sexual certainly sounding - we can mess up good love in other ways too - family, friends, etc. And, although we can deeply feel the pain of our actions, sometimes we just can't seem to get out of our own way. 
It is a song about being human. Thank you Nicky!

Welcome to my humble page! A little about me: Mid 30s  business lady by day, music obsessed creative fiend by night. I do mean OBSESSED….Music lives in my head and can not stop coming out of it! I grew up listening  to  all kinds of music so my  creations have been influenced by live instruments and orchestral melodies marrying the  beat and rhythm of dance music.  Piano - trained and a hobby vocalist of sorts , music is  how I deal with the world.  As of 2024 , embarking on a  journey to learning the guzheng and cello. Some paint some build, some write… This girl tells stories with her music.  Take a pause and listen. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy setting  them loose into the world !
