​Dave Deporis was a prolific and unique American singer-songwriter primarily active in New York and California. Despite continuously writing, recording and performing for nearly 20 years, Dave never formally released an album during his lifetime. 

After his tragic death in 2017 friends, fans and family came together, raised money to gather, preserve and forward his music. For The Birds and Children marks the first release from the resulting project.
