Rinat has a bachelor in marketing and social science, and spent her career putting disruptive services and technologies in the hands of millions. Now as an ex-telco marketer, she is doing the opposite. 

She is now a mother of one living with her husband in the northern rivers, NSW, Australia. She has spent the past year, volunteering in stopping 5G in the Byron Shire and to work with the community on strategies to envisage a future with safe technology.

Ayesha Khan is a grassroots activist, writer, educator, Infectious Diseases Scientists and Clinical Microbiologist at the University of Texas Health Science Centre in Houston, Texas. 

She is dedicated to bridging science and social justice. Ayesha's activism focuses on Palestinian liberation, educational equity for marginalised American youth, racial health equity, civil rights of Muslims and other minorities in India, immigrant rights, combatting the school-to-prison pipeline and mass incarceration in America, and intersectional science advocacy. 
She is currently working as a frontline healthcare worker specialising in COVID-19 testing, pandemic preparedness and public policy.

Ayesha Khan has a PhD in Microbiology and Infectious Diseases at UT Health and is a grassroots, community organiser who hopes to continue her commitment to translational scientific research intermingled with a passion for social justice.

Using her activism and knowledge as a scientist she is educating and writing in order to inform the masses as she bridges science and social justice. 
In this discussion we discuss the history of race, how colonised countries with capitalist systems rely on racism to dehumanise minorities in order to exploit them. 
How we can move forward and change a system that is fundamentally built on racism, exploitation and separation. Ayesha also explains how intergeneration trauma and systemic oppression alters genes, and how this then has an impact to the next generations.  This conversation is a must listen too, how to look at the bigger picture of all of these issues to find the root of the problem...
