ON HIGH 23 comes courtesy of Erski [ @erski1 ] ..."The mix is made entirely from 7" dub records that I've collected over the years. With this mix I tried to stay true to the original dub sound and to not sound too modern. It starts off in the 120bpm territory and travels all the way to 170bpm". It's an impressive bit of "barely there" mixing that keeps the tempo jumping from bassline to bassline. 

Erski is one half of production duo @Levrige and is part of Vancouver DJ collective @SHAHdjs

This was recorded over a year ago now, just as Covid was starting. With everything happening in the world, we didn't release it. But we are very happy to be getting it out now, just in time for summer.

Welcome to Episode 168 on Poisonoise Music with this one featuring Ruder.    Ruđer is a member and co-founder of Amatori, a music collective based in Berlin and Italy. 
In love with polyrythms, pitched down techno and atmospheric sounds. At the origin a punk, now devoted to electronics, he has released 2 EPs with Amatori 2 EPs (one as the various artist "Die Insel", this year with a solo album "Rerajahan") and in the process of a new upcoming VA release with the collective.

Her engineering expertise has spanned sessions involving mastering, mixing, and other intricate tasks for the studio's high-profile clientele. These sessions provide a platform for capturing, sculpting, and performing with raw tones and waveforms. After belonging to the Move and Skyzoo collectives in the mid-90s, in 2000 he became part of the team of residents of Le Club and the organization of the Observatori Festival.
In 2010 he starts Black Label, a monthly party at Miniclub, where for 5 years he made known his more House side. After this, it is worth mentioning his residence in Jerusalem Club, Caravaca (Proper Club) and the organization and residence of the Taiga parties in Madrid, where he bet on contemporary techno.

At the moment he is still interested in the most current musical currents of electronic music, from ambient to techno, through electro, halftime and D&B. Always betting on vinyl as a format and deep productions that keep the dub as a common denominator.

Amsterdam-based abh & Hoff, the masterminds behind the wonderful "Far Blue" record label and podcast series, curated our latest "Delayed with..." music tale.
Imagine drifting through a moonlit forest dappled with fireflies and the low hum of cicadas. That's the vibe – lulling, dreamy, and alive with subtle magic. Lush atmospheres unfurl like velvet curtains.
Four-on-the-floor rhythms pulse like a steady heartbeat, then melt into broken beats that pirouette like autumn leaves. Familiar names like Shoal and DJ Balduin shimmer like constellations while hidden gems flicker like fireflies and dance with melodies laden with unspoken intrigue.

Bio:

Emanuele Pertoldi was born in a small village in the North East of Italy. After
releasing music with his own name and founding different projects like Evasion
Room Records (with RIccardo D'Agostini), in 2013 he started a new alias, Shaded
Explorer, with the aim to represent himself in a more intimate way.
The description of the project says: "Shaded Explorer lives in a place where the
music is hidden behind a dense fog and dreams are suffocated by an unpromising
reality. This stimulates him to continue his research of magical places around the
world, being them ethereal landscapes, deep cenotes or blue seas. In those places
he discovered and created new sounds, melodies and rhythms that melted
together create soundscapes for escape."
The first release is an album on Eclipsemusic that was also played live by him (just
with hardware) at Club To Club in Turin, one of the most representative festivals in
Italy. Following this concept in 2014 he founded his own intimate imprint Shaded
Explorations, released the second album on Silent Season and an ep on Kabalion
(Hypnus parent label).
With his projects, he played at Tresor (DE), Le Batofar (FR), The Frag (ITA), Fiese
Remise (DE), Griessmuehle (DE), Tribal (UK), Sala X (SPA), BHo! (ITA), and other
parties, clubs and festivals like Club 2 Club, iClaut, Homepage etc.

About Binary Thoughts:

The name Binary Thoughts may speak for itself, but there is a much deeper meaning embedded within.

The ancestral way of thinking has always been 'binary'. In order to understand reality in all its complexity we made a world of oppositions (day/night, man/woman). Where the law of "all or nothing rules, there is no in-between. But reality is indeed always more complex and richer than what our 'perception' of the world suggests.

This perception beyond this ìall or nothingî connected Ana Bogatinovska and Jovana Gjorgievska. At first strangers to each other, they met at a music festival in their native country; And after a long discussion about electronic music, they've decided to make a project that will connect their slightly different but similar taste in electronic music.

Their dark, unpredictable, underground techno and electronic sounds, evident in their DJ sets, reflects the uniqueness of their one of a kind 'binary' sound, able to take you from darkest corners to the deepest and most colorful nebuale of the universe.

Currently they are exploring the vast horizons of techno music and improving their performance skills, with an aim to create their own unique blend of creativity to start producing music on their own.
