Last Friday marked an exciting milestone for our burgeoning record label, Never Late. We proudly unveiled the inaugural chapter of our musical journey, an awe-inspiring masterpiece brought to life by none other than one of our imprint's co-founders, the illustrious Griff Fulton, known to many as Aspetuck. As we embark on this exciting venture, each forthcoming release will be accompanied by a tantalizing blend of music, an intimate interview, and an exploration into the creative realms of the artists who will be the torchbearers of Never Late.

While it's admittedly challenging to remain entirely objective about this first mix, we can confidently say that it showcases Aspetuck's most refined work behind the decks to date. This mix is a masterclass in balance, serving as an ideal sonic bridge from day into night, perfectly tailored for an unforgettable party experience. "Arriving into Temple, already dipped into the most sacred silence and the most daring sounds, not seeing but feeling the familiar faces and expert listeners was somehow intimidating, but also encouraging and exciting. I had prepared a hybrid live set, djing several recordings and reviewed old tracks i compiled through the year, on preparation of another live set for Mostra, and a sp404+FX full of sounds, sampled movies, sequences and patterns to fill the gaps and refill the most dance-oriented moments of the set so there could be a little more entropy and fun.

The idea was the "interruptus' vibe where full dances would be difficult but the movement and weird hand twists would arrive through extra filterings, complex pseudo beats and dub passages of the set.

The sound and gear at Espacio Perpendicular are also intimidating for those of us not used to such definition, so the experience was even more brilliant. Doing lo-fi processes into a hi-fi system is such bless.

Operating in the abstract regions of techno, Italian-born Berlin-based Marco Shuttle is known for his eclectic and experimental approach and his mesmerizing and narrative flow. What ties his creative work together is a focus on abstract yet organic textures, a sound which takes cues from jazz and musique concrète as much as it does from acid house and Detroit techno.

In this first hour of a longer session he shares his signature cosmic vision in a more relaxed listening setting, making it a very special, personal listen.
