Swimming in deep and seemingly calm waters has turned into a kind of extreme sport in a music scene that keeps cranking up the BPMs and toughening its vibe. That's why stumbling upon EPs like the one Madrid-based producer Blovk is dropping on Gordo Trax with this "Quiescence" feels like a bit of a luxury.

From his studio, where cables snake into his modular synthesizers like injecting venom, Blovk crafts four original tracks that showcase an artist hitting his stride. It's a journey through a analog, metallic, and textural sonic landscape.

In this "Quiescence" EP, you'll find futuristic minimalism, warm and cyclical sequences resonating in an organic space, techno landscapes, and a hunger for what's to come.

Adding to the mix, there are remixes by Viels and Fase Bipolar. The Italian artist, a regular on Warm Up Recordings, serves up a beautifully rounded, ethereal remix. Meanwhile, the Fase Bipolar duo, based on Sungate Records, injects their characteristic robotic groove into a dancefloor-oriented remix.

Sungate welcomes the return of Fase Bipolar to its barracks.
The valencian duo, composed of label co-founder Moy Santana and infamous antihero Finalversion3, soars at nosebleed altitude with an EP of uncompromised techno. 
Tinged with euphoria, these tracks are the perfect soundtrack to solar storm navigation. A myriad of electromagnetic rhythms bombarded by white noise, FM alchemy, and a heavy dose of rumbling bass. 
Anthony Linell adds to the release with a remix characterised by its addictive pulse, an exploration into texture locked into an elegant grid of mechanised techno. Desroi’s remix, in turn, pushes the EP’s euphoric traits up a notch by delivering a shimmering rework of club-focused dance impressionism.

Marco Shuttle is very much part of the Spazio Disponibile label family: he's put out his Systhema album and various EPs with Donato Dozzy and Neel in the last couple of years, and now the Eerie boss serves up more of his immersive techno excellence.

He starts off in slow motion, with the roomy ambiance and slightly spooky dub of 'Ritmo Elegante.' Of course it's a track carefully filled with little sonic details that make it a very real place to be. 'Arpex' then switches things up with a super urgent, super supple acidic techno rhythm thats overlaid with a widescreen arp that sapiens space and time, and 'Stairway To The Milky Way' is a half time stepper though some trippy sci-fi jungle before 'Qatarsi' rides on a floating groove as sound effects pan all around you and traps you in a state of trance. These are expressive, hard to define and excellent electronics once again from Marco Shuttle.

Spazio019 - Marco Shuttle - Ritmo Elegante

Today's premiere is a remix by the one and only Eric Cloutier. A "strong blotter" of acid, the track starts out with a powerful kick and steady, rhythmic percussion before a squelching acid line enters. In addition to high hats that sound like knives being sharpened and a perfect clap, the 9-minute journey takes twists and turns, switching up the energy several times, bringing out every single milligram of acid from that bassline. 
The lysergic belter remains interesting throughout despite its length, ensuring the crowd's attention will be maintained throughout when this finally gets a chance to be played out. The energy gradually drops down as percussion is alleviated and the track comes to an end.

The D105/f3L1X EP will be released on Bandcamp on July 10th.
