In what feels like yet another full circle moment for us all at Delayed, and another chapter in a story started a few years ago via this Korean connection; we’re happy to present our latest premiere from one of our own, Griff aka Aspetuck and his track, ‘Sunny Conditions Will Continue For The Rest Of The Day’ off his forthcoming album, ‘Today is Tomorrow’. Marking the 38th release on the storied Oslated imprint, Griff’s signature warm, analog sound shines bright as he crafts an emotional journey through a diverse set of 10 tracks.

The aptly named ‘Sunny Conditions Will Continue For The Rest Of The Day’ starts off simply with a sighing melody and textured sounds giving structure that soon give way to an infectious kick and drum pattern. Almost immediately the groove sets in and never leaves, complemented by an undulating element that gives a sense of playfulness to the track overlaid with a soaring set of melodies.

Sunny Conditions, and in turn the rest of ‘Today Is Tomorrow’ will be released on the 30th of June via Oslated.

J’ai choisi délibérément ce nom afin de vous présenter mon projet. Loin d’avoir son talent, je n’en demeure pas moins un romantique, tel Dennis, dans un autre registre toutefois : la musique électronique.

Ce projet, c’est d’abord la prise de conscience d’une vérité, la mienne : la musique occupe une place centrale – vitale - dans mon existence. Elle est de celle qui va me permettre de voyager, de rencontrer, de transcender, d’accéder à un état d’éveil qui tend vers l’unité de ma (nos) personne(s), pourtant en constante évolution.

Cette dernière année m’a permis de comprendre une chose : mon envie immuable, mon rêve fou de vous emmener avec moi faire parti de ce voyage, celui du partage de sonorités, celles de nombreux artistes qui ont le don exceptionnel de vous transmettre tant d’émotions. Bientôt, je vous partagerai les miennes, c’est en tout cas ce vers quoi je tends mon énergie toute entière.

Je voulais contribuer à ce partage à ma façon, sans artifice, comme le passeur que je suis ne pouvait passer à côté de cette chance. 

Humilité, passion, volonté de bousculer, de surprendre, d’aller puiser au fond de soi : ici, vous trouverez – je l’espère – un espace de liberté.

Prenez ce temps, asseyez-vous où que vous soyez, montez doucement le son autour d’un verre, près d’un lac, en bord de route, au fond de votre lit, qu’importe.. !

Partagez, encore et encore, à l’ivresse même.. !
