"On this 6-track album, the musical world of Golden Ivy comes full circle as he introduces these seemingly different elements to each other. On one hand, there is the cold precision of programmed rhythms pulsing through the base layers: echoes of the urban industrial cityscape in which it functions. On the other hand, the sliding howls across the strings of the violin reaches much further out into the wilderness. And still - melded together - they manage to convey a feeling of “home”.

Taking inspiration from the fourth world concept of Jon Hassel, Ivar finds a delicate path where influences of folk music from various cultures can be captured and contained within a modern frame of mind. The violin and flute are present throughout the album like a red thread. Perhaps they are the perfect instruments to capture the melancholy, isolation and beauty of being alone with nature, and of being home in oneself.

But there’s also Ivars jovial sense of humour that peers through, for instance on the pirate fantasy of “Long John Silver” or the jittery bounce of “Game Vän”. Oddball touches of lefthanded debauchery pass by here and there, but the focus remains on simplicity and repetition. The compositions are focused and tightly harnessed to the rhythms which carry them. "

We heard about Robert Yang when he was, just like us, part of this huge communauty of geeks, record diggers, music connoisseurs and gear freaks producers on The Cybernetic Broadcasting System forum (the webradio of I-F) where he was going by the name of Robot Hustle. He is one of the original members of Honey Soundsystem and has released various records on Josh Cheon's "Dark Entries"""  and Honey Soundsystem's flagship label as well as some oothers on "Public Release" or Fort Romeau's "Cin Cin". Over the course of the last few years he has been perfecting a live music performance of the better taste. A multi-instrumentalist, Robert was trained in saxophone starting at age 10, before moving onto a Fender Telecaster after high school. After being exposed to Southern California rave culture in the late 90s, he moved onto DJing and collecting records. By the time he planted his roots in San Francisco in 2005, Robert had built an impressive analog synth-based studio, which also serves as the creative hub for his riveting live performances.

Getting lost is an art. Losing oneself among the winding streets of an unexplored town or losing oneself to an overwhelming sensation requires one to let go. To forget. To not look forward. To not seek. To not pay attention. To stop time. To disappear. For a music lover, getting lost in the music is a sacred ritual; it's a conjuring tricking that pushes the listener from their listening chair and into the universe created by the artist. 
Bas Grossfeldt's Lost in Sensation is perfectly named: you start the track in a listening chair, with pads, percussion, and other elements softly flowing into your ears and then…woosh…elements disappear…your chair - gone…your stereo - kaput..your ears - cant feel them. You will just find yourself floating, along with the music, blissfully lost. Yes, it's that kind of a track. Give it a whirl but don’t schedule anything after the track: you wont make it. Expect to be lost and expect to enjoy the disappearance.

PREMIERE: Bas Grossfeldt - Lost In Sensation [Metroplex]

Ben Kaczor and Martinou, reunite as Tarik Hensen after the release of their debut track on Appian Sounds in November 2019. Saknar Ände EP, the duo’s first full release, comes out on September 19th and Delayed is happy to premiere the A2 track. The EP showcases the synergy between two great artists, as well as their versatility and variety of sounds.
“Kondens” is a minimalistic dub techno weapon, going full throttle from the get-go, with its several mini-breakdowns ensuring that it’ll be the highlight moment of many sets when clubs reopen.
The quality of this track and EP as a whole is extremely promising, and we can’t wait to hear more from these two artists together.
