Carving vast chasms of space with exacting sound design and deadly poise, @katatonicsilentio returns to the Mantis series for another round of highly detailed leftfield techno exploration.

The Turin based sound artist continues to plot her own path through contemporary electronic music, taking cues from soundsystem pressure and dubwise minimalism as much as glitchy experimentation and the meditative repetition of techno. While her output across many different labels can reach to noisy extremes and beatless atmospheres, on her latest for Mantis the Italian artist zeroes in on a hypnotic, mysterious sound cast in the icy moods of late 90s tech step and early dubstep. At all times she finds space for surprise interference even in the most austere of situations, creating a palpable tension that amplifies the deep dancefloor potential of her music and moulding powerful physicality out of subtle elements.

Thirteen years after their landmark debut, Italian duo Voices From The Lake (Donato Dozzy & Neel) return with their much-anticipated second album, ‘II’ (two) on their own Spazio Disponibile.The record marks a new chapter in one of electronic music’s most revered projects.

Born from a friendship and a singular musical vision, Voices From The Lake first emerged as a one-off live performance in the Japanese Alps, later distilled into their self-titled 2012 album. That record has since become a touchstone in ambient techno, reshaping the global landscape of hypnotic and atmospheric electronic music. In the years since, the duo have performed worldwide, released a handful of EPs, worked on installations, and founded record labels, all while continuing to refine the project’s unique identity. Yet the core of Voices From The Lake has always been its deep, aqueous approach to sound, a sensibility that returns in full force on II.

“The project was never meant to become what it did,” the duo reflect. “At one point, we even paused it. Only to later embrace it in all its forms. II is both a continuation and a reinvention.” True to that spirit, Voices From The Lake have explored extremes in recent years, from high-tempo live sets to seated listening concerts, while remaining anchored in the meditative pulse of ambient techno. II extends this lineage, carrying forward the immersive sound design and boundary-pushing vision that has defined their work from the beginning.

The fifth and final chapter of the Raíces series marks the closing of a profound cycle — a journey that has explored the dialogue between sound and Nature, rhythm and remembrance. Raíces V gathers four artists whose works intertwine ancestral resonance and contemporary sonic architecture, tracing the invisible thread that connects the organic with the electronic.

Each piece unfolds as a ritual of grounding: deep techno pulses meet ancient drums, acoustic textures, and echoes of the living earth. In times of uncertainty, these sounds act as roots — anchoring us, reminding us of the fertile stillness beneath movement.

Curated by Aleja Sánchez, the release features new works from Vand, Vardae, Dino Sabatini and her own composition, closing a series dedicated to honoring music as both a spiritual language and a return to origin.

Ehndo’s Exploration Zone marks a natural continuation of the path he began with Genesis on Penumbrum earlier this year, one where rhythm, tone, and patience meet. Released via the Brussels-based imprint Empyrean Wave, the label’s second release points toward a promising direction, an emerging platform attuned to subtle motion and refined design. The EP brings a quiet yet confident expansion of Ehndo’s palette, joined by a remix from Australian producer Al Dente.

Our premiere for today, “In Search,” embodies Ehndo’s understated craft. Its percussive liquid flow and clean sound design move with quiet logic, each sound in service of a slow-building momentum that never quite tips over. Rather than pushing forward, it circles gracefully, inviting attention through small detail and restraint. The result feels less like a peak-time statement and more like an opening chapter that defines the mood to come.

Exploration Zone is set for release on November 5.

Premiere: Formant Value & Simone Bauer - Eos

With a full year behind us since our last release on Delayed’s own Never Late, we’re proud to welcome French artist Gëinst to the platform with his ‘Hiber Trace’ EP. We first discovered the music of Gëinst through mutual friends & upon that initial discovery, were immediately intrigued by his musical ecosystem. A prolific yet incredibly humble artist, he has had releases on labels such as Lowless with a superb split EP earlier this year with Simone Bauer, his Into The Valley EP on Souleiman & Foreign Material’s label Norite, a string of releases with Sub Accent’s label Accents, appearances on Emmanuel’s ARTS & a few recent compilation inclusions on Lithuanian platform Area 127 & Ina Kacz’s Aneelhi Rec. His sound has grown & evolved significantly over the years, as he remains in constant motion, continuously refining his process in the studio. 

We were lucky enough to meet Gëinst in person for the first time earlier this year, at our favorite Mostra Festival back in April. We shared some special times together in the cavernous Vall d’Hebron Olympic Pavilion, a place we’re so eager to return to again next year, in only a few months. It’s a pleasure to welcome Gëinst into our growing family, a fairly new but already dear friend of ours because of those powerful dancefloor experiences. It brings my mind back to that spark that led to the creation of Never Late, an inspired moment on a Brooklyn dancefloor a few years back. 

The ‘Hiber Trace’ EP, for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, feels perfectly paired with the crisp winter mornings we have ahead of us - cold & sharp, beautiful & pristine, fierce & unforgiving, like shards of ice moving through a body of water. The title track grabs your attention right away, every sound thoughtfully distorted & processed subtly with effects, a steady rhythm you find your head moving back & forth to no matter how many times you listen to it. The tension builds ever so slowly & then that beautiful, enticing snare appears & stays with you for the entire journey. As soon as those melodic sequences come in, you’re hooked & the track cruises at altitude for just over 9 minutes. 

For our 4th release on Never Late, Gëinst presents his 6-track ‘Hiber Trace’ EP, released digitally on December 5th.
