Barefoot - 9128.live 2 Year Birthday Takeover - Exclusive DJ Set

The experience took place virtually on August 20th ~ 23rd 2021 worldwide from the radio platform 9128.live.

Barefoot is based in South West England and has had recent releases on Kizen Records and re:st. His next project, a collaboration EP with The Vision Reels, is set to be released on their new imprint, Captured Visions. His 9128 mix is a journey through ambient and lo-fi styles, featuring unreleased music from himself and other artists in this community.

This August, it has been two years since launching the first iteration of the 9128.live 24/7 streaming site + app. 

We didn’t know back then, that the additional live weekend takeovers would be such an escape for us all during the lockdowns and a way to connect, keep a small community together and discover even more new music. But they ended up becoming some of our fondest memories over the past two years. So we’ll be celebrating this milestone with another marathon takeover on August 20th. 

Stay locked in on web, or app, and load up on sleep; the weekend lineup will take us back-to-back over 70hrs, with ambient, experimental, synth and deep techno, DJ, Live and Hybrid sets, curated by good friends and label partners of 9128.live, who have been with us since the beginning.

Inhmost delivers a six track EP of ambient sonics, aural reprises and vast soundscapes. Themed around the duality of night and day, dark and light, aptly realising the themes on cassette tape, a resurgent medium, part lost in time, part timeless. A journey beyond, destination unknown.
'Nightsky' is a pretty pleasant cosmic journey into which the listener can drift freely into peaceful oscillations layered with beautiful field recordings and melancholic melodies. 

Dying Days Light Behind EP is coming out on January 4th via UK-based Captured Visions.

Here is a series of memories which sometimes derail into disharmonies and merge for a deep atomic journey in the meanders and the backyard of the solar system. About the mix:

I especially prefer natural sounds or scenery without artificial materials, and I have visited many places so as to record them for composition or take pictures so far.
Nature tells us a lot of things. We simply feel it beautiful as well as fear, cruel once in a while. But I think they are all nature, I can feel cosmic beauty there. Always, I would like to feel those universal beauty, which no one can control, with my eyes and ears.

I would be happy if you could feel my thoughts even a little through this mix.

Welcome to Episode 85 on Poisonoise Music , this one sees the return of UK based Steve Livingston aka Solace. 
Anyone that follows my page will know of the big love that I have for Steve and the amazing mixes that he constantly produces, so yet again it is an honour to be featuring yet another special set from the man himself!   
This set sees Steve raising the bar yet again with another sublime blend of deep , warm and dubby goodness which shines from start to finish.

Bio:
Solace, aka Steve Livingston, started spinning vinyl in his home country of Scotland back in 1989, and soon went on to be resident DJ in several top underground clubs in Glasgow & Edinburgh. Those were simpler times, with far less genres, but his music style was geared firmly at discerning dancefloors, and keeping that crowd grooving.
Over the following 21 years, remaining faithful to vinyl only, he was also fortunate enough to get the chance to travel far & wide overseas and play at some very cool venues.
In 2010, Solace temporarily hung up the headphones to travel the world, move countries, get married, and also ended up with a couple of kids.
Music was always an important part of his life, and so fast forward to 2017 and he makes the decision to start buying individual tracks again, reluctantly deciding on digital releases. In the quest to find some styles to work with, he elects for one of his biggest music passions, the sounds of Dub Techno.
Today's Solace mixes are aimed at creating a soundscape for the mind than purely at a dancefloor, so you can expect a variety of tempos & style changes. There's a desire to marry together tracks both old & new, and a very simple underlying focus of trying to create mixes that are worthy of the sensational music that producers 
from now and then have equipped him with.
