Futurepast, The Belgian imprint currently operating from Berlin, is set to release a new EP from Brussels-based Kato De Vidts. De Vidts' 'New Earth' EP inaugurates a new imprint's series called 'Alternative Earth' which encourages the listener to drop out of the race, observe the unnoticed details, and cherish what would otherwise stay unseen.

'New Earth' EP is a beautiful package of cinematic, atmospheric electronica that is driven by percussive grooves. It's a reminisce of early '00 UK electronica and dub techno. 

Our pick for today, 'Kon' embraces a bass leaning aesthetic courtesy of bumpy, broken drums, metallic chimes, menacing bass tones, and De Vidts signature looming atmospheric tension.
