Today’s Delayed premiere comes from quite a few of our favorite people and it’s a joy to see their names together on a release. On Board Music label head, Laura BCR is debuting her wonderfully deep and nuanced sounds with SoHaSo. Her taste is impeccable, and it’s no surprise to see this release come to light under the Dutch label. Between her Rinse.fm radio show, compiling tracks for ‘The Meaning Of Time’ series, releasing DJ mixes, and production, it’s amazing to see the quality and attention to detail that never wavers.

5 Elements is the third of the five-track ‘Initial’ EP and a collaboration with the Buenos Aires-based Forest On Stasys. Signature off-kilter drums throughout the track provide a stark natural contrast to the wide-ranging synths and pads that give off a sense of foreboding, a calm before the storm to come.

PREMIERE: Laura BCR & Forest On Stasys - 5 Elements [SoHaSo]

His five years at the helm of IDO (Intercontinental Dance Organization) have provided Valentino Mora the outlet to explore his concept of “active meditation”, through the lexicon of deep and organically-textured ambient house and techno.

Now with the inking of sub-label imprint EDO (Exothermal Dance Organization) Mora’s newest output finds direct, molecular inspiration from deep in the aquaverse. Taking its name from the chemical release of heat, EDO’s exothermic first EP delivers four tracks of heady, transformative techno atmospheres. Charting Mora’s evolution from multi-channel acoustic recordings, samples and digital-analog hybridity, Hydrosphere EP continues his production complexity yet arrives at this point via the singular expression of modular synthesis.

“Erosion” opens as a cryptic transmission from submersed entities, with haunting tone tendrils emerging from within the indigo unknown. A subtle echo of reverb softens the edge of its propulsive kick drum, creating an entrancing, enticing and unsettling journey into the deep. The snaking minimalist shimmer of the title track “Hydrosphere” evokes a landscape of frozen tundra, with a backdrop of shifting, urgent techno precision. Bewitching through endless motion and slow deliberation, chimes and pings are stretched out and warped to mind-bending effect.

“Doppler Shift” takes a forthright approach, leading with prominent looped bass tones, percussion and rhythmic sweeps. Rounded shapes move rapidly through the inkinesss, forming repetitions that only intensify in pace and energy. To complete the resynthesis, “Solarized” embodies the life-giving warmth of it’s name, beaming irregular shafts of illumination into dark, bass-heavy, chugging terrain, forming melodic wisps of tonal condensation.

Tremendous long cloud colossus roll above men's heads at an unbelievable speed at the north Australian Gulf of Carpentaria during springtime. This special event is never forgotten by the ones who experienced this huge and very unique spectacle.

Most humans tend to forget where their roots really originate. But once in a while nature comes up with new events like this to remind us where we really come from. Our physical bond with this planet will never break, since we all turn into soil as soon as we leave our bodies.

To intensify our understanding of it, this compilation series looks into several special natural phenomenons and lets various artists of different art forms interpret their own picture of it in their individual creative language. The whole concept is based on the 'Chinese Whispers' game.

Kwasu Tembo, writer and musician started the whole process with a lyrical text about this phenomenon which was passed on to four visual artists: Dycide, MTRL, Ohneweil and Polygonia. The created artworks, based on their synaesthetic impression of Kwasu Tembo's words, were handed to the musicians Foreign Material, Infinity, Javier Marimon and Olorun. They crafted four musical pieces arising from their visual impression of the digital designs.

Synaesthesia is a very powerful tool to grasp coherence which is not easily explained. It can create inner feelings and associations on the observer's side, which are much more accurate than any scientific explanation.

Premiere: Foreign Material "Red Sky Spirits" - IO Records

The Munich-based IO Records welcomes back one of its co-founders Lukas Weinlein aka MTRL and his eight-track "Disrupt" EP. The EP features four originals and four remixes by long-time friends of the label,  Epsilon, Kaf, Delusional Circuits, and fellow IO co-founder Dycide.
"Javelin," our premiere for today, is all about the groove. The track executes the 'less is more' approach flawlessly. A rolling percussive sequence is the main driver of "Javelin." Accompanied by thumping kick and shaker, it creates a proper 'dancefloor pacer,' which will come in handy to many DJs during the late nights.
Disrupt EP is coming out on February 10th via IO Records

A small light with an enchanting green glow was moving in unusual patterns as if it was suggesting to be followed. 

Instinctively, he started walking towards it. It led him through paths, trees and places he never visited before. After a while, they arrived at a garden. This place was unlike no other.

A big-eyed plant jumped from the pond and focused his gaze upon him. It seemed like all the plants were alive and were disturbed by his presence. 

He walked around, closely observing everything. Strange flowers, bizarre insects and odd animals filled his vision. "What kind of place is this? Is it real or a figment of my imagination?" he asked himself.
