"Arriving into Temple, already dipped into the most sacred silence and the most daring sounds, not seeing but feeling the familiar faces and expert listeners was somehow intimidating, but also encouraging and exciting. I had prepared a hybrid live set, djing several recordings and reviewed old tracks i compiled through the year, on preparation of another live set for Mostra, and a sp404+FX full of sounds, sampled movies, sequences and patterns to fill the gaps and refill the most dance-oriented moments of the set so there could be a little more entropy and fun.

The idea was the "interruptus' vibe where full dances would be difficult but the movement and weird hand twists would arrive through extra filterings, complex pseudo beats and dub passages of the set.

The sound and gear at Espacio Perpendicular are also intimidating for those of us not used to such definition, so the experience was even more brilliant. Doing lo-fi processes into a hi-fi system is such bless.

Introducing deep listening and ecstatic abandonment during dances at parties in the rural areas of the countryside, Joseph started djing when he was very young. Over time, he rose to prominence, becoming a landmark first in Milan’s city and then in European techno circles, skillfully navigating between underground events and the world of fashion.

In 2018 Joseph made his debut as a producer capturing the ears and hearts of DJs and dancers thanks to his hypnotic and ritualistic sound. He gained immediate support from renowned artists in the scene, including Jane Fitz, Vladimir Ivkovic and Alexis Le-Tan, just to name a few.

From that moment, Joseph has continued to expand his interest in sound research, constantly raising his DJ sets and music productions to a higher level. His ability to create engaging musical narratives, focusing on the sound mixing and creating a continuum sonoro from the first to the last track, has made his performances for the body and mind of the dancers, deforming the concept of time and space, bringing them into a deep state of trance.

Joseph's meticulous musical exploration reflects an eclectic style infused with an attitude that expresses his deep love for the land of origin. Specifically, his connection with the Italian culture of electronic and experimental music, reaching ambient, techno and trance of the '90s and 2000s has shaped his sound, elevating this musical heritage to a higher level, transcending the boundaries of genres. The result is an escape from reality with a vortex of sounds that immerse listeners in a new dimension of collective hypnosis. 

Evocative, refined and ever-changing journeys have been released on prominent labels such as R.i.O., Oslated, Sound Metaphors, Invisible Inc., Kalahari Oyster Cult, Elephant Gait and Lustpoderosa. In 2020, Joseph founded Blue Sea Studio at the gates of Milan, which has become his creative forge for the production and sound design of contemporary music and original soundtracks.

Joseph's extraordinary skills, both as a DJ and music producer, have made him shine in numerous clubs and festivals across Europe, including Salon Des Amateurs, Der Kindergarten, Planeta Za, Yaga Gathering, Nextones, Klub 20/44 and Pirelli Hangar Bicocca. He continually challenges himself creatively and his fascinating and compelling impact on the music scene is set to grow in the coming years as he continues to stimulate the minds and bodies of dancers with his unique interpretation of hypnotical and trance oriented sound.

Aspetuck is an American producer & DJ fascinated by groove & rhythm as well as the hypnotic nature of the deeper sides of electronic music. Growing up in sleepy Vermont, without easy access to any inkling of a nightlife scene, the internet was Aspetuck's only form of musical discovery for those formative days. Years later, after living in both Brooklyn and Los Angeles, Aspetuck was very quickly drawn into the robust nightlife cultures of both cities that was so absent in the rural hills of the northeast. 

He is not only inspired by the current scene but also heavily inspired by genres outside of the contemporary electronic world including but not limited to krautrock, dub, new wave / post-punk, shoegaze, jazz, soul & funk.  Immersing himself in both music production and photography, two creative outlets that seemingly complement & balance each other, he is quietly finding his voice with the help of a broad range of influences to draw from.

The A-side opens up with Johanna Knutsson, undoubtedly one of Sweden's finest artists and DJs in the electronic music scene, presenting her ambient version of Tora Vinter’s Sheherazade.  For 8 years Knutsson has been crafting a name for herself on worldwide dance floors and in the studio with her mystical, powerful, techno infusions.

This time around, Knutsson delivers a  6 minute track offering pure bliss and euphoric relaxation, a perfect choice to listen to after a night of heavy dance floor bangers. Beginning with a tribe-esk flute, following a layer of well constructed synths, then introducing a meditative reverb kick which forms a deep connection between the listener and this beautiful track.

Oscillate Tracks 003 is the first split EP featuring resident Johanna Knutsson and alumni Karen Gwyer. The two performed together early last year, Karen live with her shimmering textures before Johanna introduced her bleepy tales. Their musical affinity was easily recognisable and our aim was to bring their dynamic connection from one fleeting experience onto the enduring form of a record. 

On Johanna’s side, the Swedish producer plays with tempo and panning, constructing vast soundscapes on the backdrop of a dubbed-out alternating bass drum with refrains from her Nord synth rippling throughout. On the flip we find Karen exploring melancholic ambient IDM, layering sparkling notes over lush melodies interlaced with rapid percussions, forming utterly exquisite works of art.
