In either scenario there is a wealth of music awaiting your minds and ears to make your Sundays better. As with Delayed and our love of curation, we’d like to extend our programming and expertise into another realm, dedicated to that of downtempo, electronica, ambient and everything in between. Clear as spring water, the memory of Shoal's beautiful live set echoing through the Norwegian mountains, finally sharing the stage together at Monument (@monument-podcast) after meeting in Amsterdam several years ago. Those familiar with our dear friends at Harmony Rec (@harmony-rec) will be undoubtedly familiar with Kenny's impeccable body of work, and for the rest an eye-opening treat awaits. Here, Kenny gathers highlights from his recent live sets and newly recorded material, arranged and refined into a perfect contemplation of the crisp arboreal air, a vivid composition of body and sound entwined tightly beneath the earth. An artist’s dedication to their craft is usually what separates the wheat from the chaff, and our next guest is a perfect example of this. Mary Yuzovskaya made a name for herself in the mid-2000s by showcasing a deep passion for vinyl, with her razor-sharp precision mixing resonating throughout Berlin and beyond. Since then she has come a long way, relocating to New York where she started her own Monday Off imprint and podcast to showcase the poignant psychedelia inherent to her musical world. Here she showcases the more intimate corners of her collection with the same care and attention to detail that she is known for. Perfect for riding out the last of the cold days as we wait for Spring’s warm embrace.

"It contains only music used in films from 1987-2001: Chungking Express, Lost Highway, Opera, Perfect Blue, Trainspotting, Leon: The Professional, Fallen Angels, Cruel Intentions, Hackers, Johnny Mnemonic, Cool World, Strange Days, Ghost In The Shell, and more. Perhaps there's some commonality there. I wanted to conceptualise this mix in this way as movies have really been resonating with my songwriting at the moment, and I wanted to celebrate particular films that have been extra inspirational for that process.”"

Tornado Wallace aka Lewie Day is a Berlin-based producer, DJ, and musician whose genre-spanning dance sets and studio releases are loosely defined by their generous ambience and cinematic immersiveness. Appropriately, every song here is pulled from a Letterboxd lover’s delight of international films.

You'll find your memory pleasantly jogged as these songs are given new context here. Sensual trip hop lamentations and shoegazing walls of guitar find common ground, and when’s the last time you heard Faye Wong and U2 in the same mix? These songs pull from the well of cultural nostalgia and, yet, the sum of their parts feels half a step ahead of the zeitgeist.

A return to New York after quality time spent with the family. These trips are a great mental break from the hustle and bustle of city life. - sat on the couch, watching horror movies on mute, drinking coffee, making tunes
- drove to Footscray to help my friend Reis record his band
- heated up leftover lebanese food and made a sort of shakshuka with it
- hung out with my Mum, looking at family photos
- nursed a hangover, drove to northcote plaza and bought 6 donut holes
- made this mix

The heat waves have subsided to a degree, breezes sweep the green trees throughout Brooklyn. Sundays are for…

All of us. As each year passes, I appreciate more and more the mental haven that has developed. A space to relax, a platform to create. Focusing on moods and sounds that we listen to recover and unwind. Deeply personal, and a sonic window into the soul, the variety of guest mixes, and emotions covers the spectrum. I am so humbled to be able to release each and every entry.

This September marks 6 years of Sundays. The musical journey continues, and evolves, so too does the visual. Simple, and abstract. Bridging the digital and analog realms, the art continues to change and match energy. A sine wave in all its glory, nothing less, nothing more. A comfort in its identity, a comfort in its simplicity.

The warm afterglow of a weekend of music. Smoke filled rooms and comforting tones, all shades of ambient and beyond. This is what I played for my set on Sunday, the final day at our annual barn gathering. Everyone melted into couches, flitting in and out of consciousness. As light turned to darkness ever so gently, we all took turns providing a sonic window into what the day of rest and recovery means.

Sundays, for me—no matter what's planned or how beautiful—always carry an underlying sadness. A kind of hopeful melancholy. Sundays are when the medicinal, healing properties of music are at their most potent, and I find myself gravitating toward gentler, more emotional sounds to help calm a wandering mind.

Sundays are for... [Nov/25]

Sunday mornings have always felt a sense of happiness and peace since I was a child, perhaps due to the short time I didn't have to be in the hustle and bustle of life. Spending more time on the production work I enjoy during the day is something I find even more enjoyable at my age. Evenings are spent casually walking through the city, ending my walk somewhere in the woods where I can greet the sunset. Ending my Sundays with a sunset is the last thing I enjoy most, even though it's the last thing I do. Looking directly at the sun with my naked eye during these hours is refreshing.

My motivation for preparing the set is primarily for myself. Listening to ambient sets before bed always helps me fall asleep and drift into a deep sleep. I know I'm not the only one who enjoys this, and offering the same pleasure from my own perspective to other listeners brings me joy; it's a pleasure to be able to help them. Listening to sets like this throughout the day always reminds me of a reset. I always feel like we need this; sometimes I experience being in the moment without thinking through sets like this. I hope I can offer the same effect to my dear listeners.
