A. It's a flow between downtempo and liquid breakbeat music that has enraptured me for years and this is a bit of an ode to some of my early influences alongside a fair amount of newer music from my peers and inspirations.

Originally (and always) a fan of Melbourne's underground scene, Isabel is drawn to DJ sets that take the listener on a journey - whether that be through mood, genre or tempo - to create something beautiful and entirely anew. This is a quality she explores in her own sets, weaving together intricate, spiraling blends of IDM, techno and bass to create a dreamy, glistening tapestry of sound.

With having a background in cultural anthropology, documentary photography and film, Phuong-Dan is active on a project-specific basis in various fields, as a dj and curator. In 2021 he initiated dispari – a label and platform for all kinds of auditory publications, collaborations and performances at various places such as Kunsthalle Münster, Kunstverein München or Meakusma Festival. His DJ-sets are a hypnotizing and compelling blend of rhythms and influences – consistently exploring varying moods by shifting back and forth between musical fields with some sort of defiant approach. A good example of the latter are the Gatto Musculoso nights he hosts at Golden Pudel Club in Hamburg since 2006, which through the years have seen artists of every shape and size. This openness led him to noted clubs like Salon des Amateurs, De School and Robert Johnson, to festivals like Dekmantel, Positive Education and Berlin Atonal – but also to institutions like Haus der Kunst Munich, Gropius Bau or Kunsthalle Vienna.

Saphileaum is the alias of Georgian producer, multi-disciplinary artist and KHIDI club resident Andro Gogibedashvili. Emerging from a profoundly creative family-actors, singers, writers, and poets, Andro’s creative path has been profoundly shaped by his heritage and the traditions that surround it.
Saphileaum makes music for coming together, for meditation, and for mystical, philosophical musings. A sound crafted as unique and consistent as his, only possible through a lifelong passion and commitment to artistic expression. Often drawing on disparate genres, his unique sound is brought together by the beauty of rhythm—live drumming including the Georgian Dhol often featuring alongside starry melodies, woven into half-time grooves, meditative ambient and atmospheric techno. 
Inspired by mysticism, earth and the secrets of the universe, Saphileaum’s journey reached celestial heights in 2022, when a snippet of his piece Cosmic Lake Transparency was transmitted into deep space to the exoplanet K2-18B, just 124 light-years away from Earth. via the Goonhilly Earth Station, making him the second Georgian artist to have their music sent to the stars. (Sidenote: incredible timing finding out this fun fact with signs of life on K2-18B being reported this week!).
His discography spans labels of the highest order: Mule Musiq, Good Morning Tapes, Silent Season, Oslated and more with each release reflecting his creative approach to each label, which he described as ‘like stepping into a new country’. Fresh terrain of culture, sound, and inspiration. Being releasing records, Saphileaum shapeshifts across other mediums, soundtracking Georgian films, collaborating on high-profile art and fashion exhibitions and writing poetry. From club nights to quiet nights, and now from Earth to K2-18B, Saphileaum’s approach to music and art invites us to listen deeply.

I am very excited to present the first externally contributed Deep Mind Music mix by my friend @moonbowmusic

I made the first @Deep-Mind-Music mix - https://soundcloud.com/syberkid/deep-mind-music-vol-1 - just as a way to tie together and catalogue the ambient tracks that had meant a lot to me that summer. Since then, Deep Mind Music mixes have become a solace for me, a personal space to explore sound and emotion. 

In the last two years Moonbow and I have been sharing ambient music with each other, and both love and appreciate this form of music. I've been toying with the idea of expanding these mixes into a mix series for a while, and asked if Moonbow would like to make one for me. They have put together a beautiful journey reflecting on Seasonal Affective Disorder, just in time to counter the January blues. 

They say: "The mix is supposed to be a kind of anxiety relieving mix for S.A.D that starts out quite emotional and quiet in a very raw and real way, dives into a v insular dream world that is sometimes peacefully meditative and sometimes quite an intensely dark emotional excavation, and then it has healing and wholesome ending of clarity"
