Trace Repeat is an 8-piece soul and funk band from Oakland, CA. They bring back that old school funk, with music inspired by their musical forefathers: James Brown, Michael Jackson, and Prince. With their master blaster horn section, tight drum fills, and dance moves, Trace Repeat is sure to get audiences moving and grooving along.


Trace Repeat has played to high-energy crowds of all ages around the Bay Area and beyond, including Cornerstone in Berkeley, Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco, the Phoenix Theater in Petaluma, and the Plaza in Healdsburg. The band released their first record, The Oaktown Sound, in September 2017 and has been featured in outlets including NBC News, Mother Jones, and HuffPost.

The Leandro Joaquim Sextet

-Leandro Joaquim began his musical career at the age 15 in his hometown of Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo. He studied trumpet at the Symphony Orchestra in his city and later specialized in Jazz and Música Popular Brasileira (or MPB, a trend in post-bossa nova urban popular music in Brazil that revisits typical Brazilian styles such as samba, samba-canção and baião and other Brazilian regional music, combining those with foreign influences, such as from jazz and rock) at the "Dr. Carlos de Campos Musical Conservatory "in the city of Tatuí, São Paulo.

Leandro spent 15 years in Rio de Janeiro, as he build his career by performing along side many national and internationally acclaimed artists such as Elba Ramalho, Marcos Valle, Cidade Negra, João Donato, Hyldon, Mauricio Baia, Carlos Dafé, Gilberto Gil, Jards Macalé, Lucas Santana, Tony Allen, and many more. He was the Musical Director of the band “Lets Play That” of the great Brazilian music master Jards Macalé, as well as founding member of Sobrado 112, Paraphernalia, Abayomy Afrobeat Orchestra, and Monte Alegre Hot Jazz Band.

“Sobre As Cores e a Nossa Tempo” Portuguese for "About Colors and Our Time" is the first solo album by Leandro where he plays trumpet and sings a selection of his original compositions. The album was recorded in Rio de Janeiro and released under Maravilha 8 record label. Ricardo Dias produced the album with musical participation from several dear musician friends such as Band Ce, Bnegao, Sobrado 112 and a few others who made this 9 tracks album possible.

Leandro smoothly takes his audience on a mysterious and colorful musical journey as his music navigates through various genres such as Rock, Jaz, Funk, Reggae and Bossa Nova, with sophisticated and deeply personal lyrics that talk about struggles and triumphs of everyday life. He uses psychedelic effects while experimenting with different arrangements and formations that go from a rock'n'roll trio to a jazz quintet, through duets of puffs with piano, machines of noises, delays and synthesizers.
