Germany’s Tilman inaugurates his new imprint Pleasant Systems this June with the ‘Adventures’ EP, featuring collaborations with Will Buck and Rhode & Brown. Mainz, Germany based producer and DJ Tilman has been dropping his twist on contemporary house over the past decade on labels such as Shall Not Fade, Life Is For Living and Quality Vibes as well as his own Fine imprint, run in collaboration with Johannes Albert. Here though, Tilman marks a new beginning with the launch of Pleasant Systems, a new imprint designed to shine a light on vintage inspired house sounds from both himself and friends. Up first is ‘What’s Mine Is Mine’, a collaboration with Brooklyn’s Will Buck which lays down an amalgamation of airy synth pads, choppy bass stabs, bright piano lines and enchanting flute like melodies atop a swinging drum groove. ‘Strawberry Fields’ follows, stripping things back to shuffled percussion, billowing ethereal textures and wandering sub bass tones while fluttering brass tones and resonant leads ebb and flow within. ‘Velvet Park’ opens the flip side, this time joining forces with Rhode & Brown, embracing a classic sound with raw crunchy drums, delayed piano chords, bumpy bass stabs, cinematic strings and brass hooks throughout. ‘Lovin'’ then rounds out the release, dropping the tempo, featuring the voice of Tilman himself and laying focus on off-kilter organic percussion, twinkling resonant tones, eighties tinged synth chords and g funk moog style bass to perfectly conclude Pleasant System’s debut...

The "Jamz" imprint from our friends @slothboogie returns this July with Soul Wun @soulwun "Fragments EP", including this beautiful remix from Jesse Bru @jesse-bru 

Australia’s Soul Wun is a young skater making beautiful sun soaked deep house jams, previously for the likes of 13th Hour, House Cookin’, Feedasoul, Clipp.art and of course SlothBoogie where he returns here following his appearance on the first "Dancing With Friends" compilation.  

Opening the release is "Piero’s Strings", merging twinkly piano lines and cinematic strings with winding bass grooves and organic drums. "Japan Theme" follows next, fusing hazy brass licks, a walking bass line and jazz keys with a swinging drum groove and spoken word Japanese samples.  

Opening the B-side of the release is "Lily Flower (Adele)", laying focus on an amalgamation of warm piano tones, a swinging rhythm and plucked bass tones throughout. "Sun Lady Statement" is up next, taking things in a more acid jazz direction via broken percussion, psychedelic guitar licks and hypnotic, poetic vocal chants. Lastly to round out the release Houseum and Axe On Wax artist Jesse Bru delivers his twist on "Lily Flower (Adele)", bringing a Deep House aesthetic to the table courtesy of shuffled drums and driving low end, while the original’s ethereal textures ebb and flow within.

Toy Tonics main artists @COEO from Munich are back. The 2 guys started their career on Toy Tonics 7 years ago and since then made a long way. Their last EP „Piano Workout“ got heavy support from DJs like Job Jobse, Kim Ann Foxman & Perel and opened a new vibe in their oeuvre: They extended their style to more Balearic, Italo, Synth funk 80ies vibes. "25 Hundred Friends" is an ironic take on Italopop and social media… and will be a song people talk about for sure. "Slipstream" could be big on festivals with its classic DX/baseline and hypnotic vibe.

"Midnight Vision" has this light Caribbean and South African influences. The vibe you could feel on Don Laka's classic "Stages". And fits well with everything Toy Tonics releases in its Mushroom House series. Yeah, Toy Tonics and COEO open up for even more eclectic influences and extend house music to more levels and styles.

Following a series of visits to Moscow between 2018 and 2020 to play at Powerhouse club, Scruscru would swing by Mike Fot’s apartment for a smoke and a jam session, working with a variety of Roland and Korg gear late into the night. The results of these sessions have led to a series of EPs; with the first four tracks ready for your ears right now.
