I played this set 8p-1a during a dinner event at Kassi Beach House Las Vegas inside the new Virgin Hotel & Casino. 

I love playing for dinner environments because it leaves the opportunity to take your time and blend a variety of fitting music for the environment. 
Through this night I start out with 30 minutes of lounge music leading into a selection of downtempo house, slow afro, electronica, and organic house. I briefly go back into some lounge before ending with midtempo section of varied house.

This was my first full dub reggae-based set recorded live at a Las Vegas dispensary on 4.20.22. I had a blast finding all these tunes and was pleased how well it all came together! 

Definitely a great mix for chillin, smokin, loungin, driving, pretty much anytime, anyplace :) I mean who doesn't love Reggae?

This night was magical playing 1:30a-3a at Opulent Chill on the corner of 2:00 & Esplanade. Then cruising all the way across the playa to 9:30&C for a 4 hour set at Octopus Garden from 4a-8a which will be the next set I'll release!

It was truly an honor to open up for this incredibly stacked Triloka Tour! 
Each of these artist have been musical inspirations to me over the years. I love playing Desert Dwellers tracks because of the vast range of their discography. I've seen them live numerous times, both together and separately and they always smash it. 
Random Rab is one of the coolest dudes I saw him at an intimate little bar called Agave near Beaver Creek, CO and I love his morning mixes. 
Evan Bluetech was the only one i hadn't seen live and thus the most excited for. I've listened to his Signs & Singularities album more times than I can count and have shared it with a handful of friends. Such a fan of his production.

Triloka Tour 11.12.22 (w/ Desert Dwellers, Bluetech, & Random Rab) 🎶Organic Psy-Bass | Downtempo🎶

This years sound system at Celtic Chaos was insane. 
Earlier in the week, Sunday or Monday, Genevieve and I went out for a ride deep playa to check out some art being built. On our way back all we could hear was one system BUMPING in the distance, we followed the sound all the way to 10&C. 
Realizing it was Celtic, I instantly became that much more excited to rock that system for my last set of the week!

The dj booth at CC looks out at the vast depth of deep playa as it is located on the end-cap of camping on the 10:00 side. Friday sunset was extraordinarily magical with a light haze from suspended smoke particles in the air. Friday the city begins to glow with various burns so when twilight hour hits its not just the sky above you busting with color, it's all around you.I remember magenta & fuchsia surrounding everything. Combine with the white ground of the playa, the surroundings were other worldly.

Zaid Bawab shared the booth with me, bringing a flashdrive of unreleased tracks of his for me to play if I so desired. And you fuckin bet I did! playing a couple of his heaters worked perfectly for the set.

Although I'm not proud of the first transition, the rest of this set flowed beautifully. 

Having the opportunity to open for Satori, who has been a massive personal influence over the years, was a treat to say the least. His tracks "Syria" & "Days Without You" Crussen Remix, are some that I have rinsed more times than I'd like to admit :) 
For good reason tho, they're timeless masterpieces! 

This week in general was a dream come true, opening for Satori on 11/10 with a midtempo organic house set, then two days later opening for the Triloka Tour with Desert Dwellers, Bluetech, and Random Rab allowing me to lean more broken beat and bassy. Being able to express both these side of music was magical, and now they're both here on soundcloud!

Hearing a downtempo set with only few recognizable tracks is a very refreshing thing for me, which is one of the reasons Patrik Khach's set was such a stand out. That, the vibe of everyone in the building, and the fluidity of his mixing is a combination that will definitely take you for a journey...

On Wednesday night a large group of us returned back to Never Sleep Again after making the trek across the playa to see Carl Cox at Playground. We get into camp and have a half hour til we regroup and head out to The Cloud for Township Rebellion. I hear “Fire up the generator, Jordan hop on the decks!” What was suppose to be a half hour of music to kill the time turned into one of my favorite times at the burn this year as I realized there was nothing I’d rather do more than play music with no time constraints. The half hour passes and about three quarters of the group continued on to The Cloud while myself and a handful of people stayed back. During this set I collected many groups, couples, and solo-wonderers off the corner of 9:30&E to seek refuge of Deep Melodic House  in the massive cuddle puddle palace that was NSA this year <3. 

Playing with no time restraint is my absolute favorite headspace to mix in, that and having all the amenities in the environment for people to dance, nap, chill, converse, & play games. This set would have lasted long through the morning but just as sun started peaking over the horizon to welcome in the morning the generator ran out of gas and shut us down ha. 

Unfortunately this set wasn't recorded live, but it had so many feels for me that I had to recreate the journey. The week I returned back to Vegas from the burn I pulled up my track history on that night, pressed record, and in one easy take recreated as close to what this set would have sounded like on the playa that night / morning. 

Also, with the timid nature toward hitting play on a 3 hour 45 min set I decided to break this session into two parts.

This was the first Subtle Sol event I hosted in Vegas since June 2018. It was put on in collaboration with Garden Party LV who hosts different music collectives every Saturday night at Park On Fremont smack dab in the middle of Downtown Las Vegas. It was a pleasure decorating the beautiful back patio of Park On Fremont and offering downtempo, midtempo, & deep grooves for the city I call home. This event occured just before the quarantine was put in place so it was nice to offer one last night of music before we became confined to our homes. 

I hope this recording from that night finds you well as you pass this interesting time in our world <3 

Stay positive, stay active, stay focused. This too shall pass, and when it does I have optimism that we will see the world in a new light, with greater respect for it and the people around us.

Recorded live on October 24, 2020 at Las Vegas's new immersive art warehouse Area 15. The center bar Oddwood features a 25 foot LED interactive maple tree, light fixtures by Hybycozo, and a great hang in the middle of all the action.
