Every year it seem like things are getting worse
Pretty soon we’ll all have to escape to the metaverse
With a pair of virtual reality goggles strapped on your head
You won’t even realize that all the plants and animals are actually dead

You can suit up in your avatar and always try to look your best
You can give yourself big muscles even if you have a puny chest
You can live like a cro magnon in a dark and dirty cave
You don’t have to wear deodorant
 you don’t need to shower or shave

Every year it seem like things are getting worse

We’ll all live below the surface and never see the light of day
And as long as we have our VR goggles everything’s going to be okay
Mark Zuckerberg’s working really hard to make sure that VR sells

A step with confidence

Well.. I started this track almost a year ago? Thank goodness for Sander's (https://soundcloud.com/wane-of-summer) patience. This track means a lot to me in a lot of ways.. The longer I didn't move forward the harder it was to return to it.  However, I got really inspired when the fall and winter came back because this song definitely has a late fall / wintery feel. 

I go from feeling really good about it to OMG I need to delete all my vocals and start over. However, it must be released regardless. It may not be perfect but that is fine. It is a song from two people who don't live remotely near each other. That in itself is a beautiful feat that must be appreciated. On top of that Sander's music meeting my strange cadence and expression creates a vibe never before experienced. Of course there is the story.  

The story is of course lovers caught in a 1984-esque scenario. However, I also wrote with the inspiration of current events.  I think that is also why I wanted to release it as soon as I could.. I think it has an element of needed catharsis.  However, I am very joyful to finally release this!! so much thanks for listening if you do <3

Three names I go by are JOrdon, Jae Ordon and Mascot’s Distance,(which I use everywhere such as Spotify, Apple, etc.).

I've written music for Taye Diggs, Ian Gillan of Deep Purple, Pete Yorn, the Gorillaz Dan the Automator, John Spencer Blues explosion’s Russel Simons and Bed Bath and Beyond.  In summer of 2022 my recording Life Whispers On was #7 on Canada’s Cashbox Radio.  Currently finishing up a musical called Humane.
