Binary Aspect Of Walking vs. Non Dualistic Nature Of Flying

This instrumental piece is dedicated to those buried in the 6,000 year old chambered cairn known as Greadal Fhinn in the Scottish Highland peninsula of Ardnamurchan. In a remote windswept area (the most westerly on the British mainland)the cairn is said to be the burial place of the Viking chieftain Ketill Flatnefr ('flatnose') who fled Norway in 888 AD and became known locally as Caithil Fin. 
On his death the sagas relate the use of this ancient site as his last resting place. Who knows what ceremonies were performed there in his honour or the rites and rituals for the dead in the millennia prior to the demise of old 'Flatnose'....

Pic: the main stone 'cist' which remains of the cairn entrance - evidence also suggests there was once a large stone circle around the 22 metre burial site.

It's a special honor that my dear friend Michele Ansani asked me if I would like to work on a song he wrote years ago called 'Alla Fine della Fine delle Fini' (To the end of the end of the ends) which is a great track. When I listened to it I said to Michele that I thought the song is already finished and asked what I supposedly could do with it. He said, that he wasn't going to publish it and wanted me to work on the root idea of the song to create something new.  Thank you so much Michele for being so generous to leave the basic song idea to my purposes (all flaws are mine).

Vivek Patel is a monster trumpet player and musician, and I was thrilled when he jumped in with Mirko, me and many other jazz players on a tribute to Miles Davis we recorded several years ago.  The fantastic and always grooving Mirko Borach - aka Stringburner - once again anchors the electric bass here.  Vivek's horn playing is exceptional...his beautiful haunting tone, his inside and outside playing as Miles did.  And Mirko's funky slap bass playing is tight and nasty. Hello magical entity... Thank you for visiting..

Three names I go by are JOrdon, Jae Ordon and Mascot’s Distance,(which I use everywhere such as Spotify, Apple, etc.).

I've written music for Taye Diggs, Ian Gillan of Deep Purple, Pete Yorn, the Gorillaz Dan the Automator, John Spencer Blues explosion’s Russel Simons and Bed Bath and Beyond.  In summer of 2022 my recording Life Whispers On was #7 on Canada’s Cashbox Radio.  Currently finishing up a musical called Humane.


I'm playing all the instruments on many tunes, ones I'm not are…Brian Allen of Lori McKenna, Christopher Cross and Robben Ford on Bass, Michael McDonald's horn section, in addition to Yutaka Uchida playing drums on some tunes and Laurent Medelgi on guitar, also Danny Zanker and Joe Bearclaw Burcaw playing bass.
