I am a multi-instrumentalist and singer who studied at The University of Glasgow, graduating with an MA in Music and Film Studies. Here I received a varied musical education including training in sound engineering, field recording, composition of musique concrète pieces, practical tuition, and theoretical research on the relationship between sound and the moving image. A particular point of interest was the narrative and aesthetic function of sound and music in cinema.

In 2015, I relocated to Berlin to explore the exciting musical possibilities that the city has to offer. There I composed the scores and designed the sound for several theatre pieces, short films, web series’ and documentaries. On top of this, I co-founded indie/electronic band Last Days of Elvis and began releasing music under the alias Vital Sparks. 

I now reside in Melbourne where I have continued working within the world of theatre, film and advertising, as well as producing several solo releases.
