This is Draw The Line Radio Show with Jacki-E, presenting the best music from female producers and DJs.

It’s drum and bass this week and helping me Draw The Line with her mix in the second hour, it’s Lubi J who’s from Cardiff in the UK. She started DJ-ing in 2000 playing soulful/liquid dnb but her love for jungle and the darker styles was always there and she returned to playing jungle dnb around 2012. In 2022, with fellow DJ Electra, she began her own event, Headspace, to fill the void of modern jungle and heavier dnb in Cardiff.

We’ve been listening to his sets for more than a decade, long before the idea of launching this podcast series was even a thought. He picked up mixing at around the young age of 16, and from that moment on, music became a life path. Growing up during the acid house and Balearic era, the spark was lit early. His first love was Jungle Music and like any true selector, his vinyl collection exploded fast. He chased fresh sounds relentlessly, from early radio sessions in the '90s on stations like Weekend Rush, Pressure FM, Rinse FM, Unknown FM, Deja Vu, and Magic FM, all the way through to building one of the most respected Sunday shows on Rinse FM itself. Caspa lived through multiple waves of dance music, growing to a seasoned club DJ. He’s played up and down the UK and regularly traveled abroad. The sound on this podcast is 100% unreleased music from his friends in the scene. In addition to his club and radio legacy, DJ Caspa also curates his own acclaimed podcast series Upfront & Personal, known for hosting high-calibre guests such as Chris Stussy, Mr G, Djoko, Josh Butler, Anotr, Sidney Charles, Larry da Kat and many more. Helping me Draw The Line this week it’s Lodzikovsky, born in Warsaw and raised in Wrocław. She's the first Polish techno artist to headline in Cairo and Hurghada in Egypt. Her sets are raw, immersive, and uncompromising merging hypnotic, tribal and deep techno into unforgettable sonic narratives, building deep, long form journeys from the opening kick to the last drop. From Wrocław’s concrete halls to Cairo rooftops and Berlin basements she tells stories meant to be felt, not filtered.

Jacki-E & P-Mac are influenced by techno, deep house, jungle, dnb and the ethos of the acid house raves and festivals of the early 90's.  If you listen carefully you can hear the underlying stories which have influenced them in their preference for the darker edge of electronic dance music.
Jacki-E & P-Mac write and publish their own original tracks and re-mixes, play DJ sets in clubs, at private parties and for radio shows and podcasts .
