The guest mix in the second hour is by Raffaele del Zingaro from Naples in Italy. He normally plays hardstyle, a fusion of techno, new beat and hardcore, which is popular in Italy, the Netherlands and Belgium. But for us, he plays dark, peak time techno. This is the sixth time he’s been on the show.

After a loooooong break in this series, I am very pleased to restart it again with 
ona:v | Dj, producer, and promoter from Poland based in Edinburgh.
I discovered Vera through her radio shows and podcasts always containing little gems. So I'm glad today that she participates in the reopening of this podcast with a techno set containing tracks of Norbak, Tensal, Translate, CJ Bolland, James Ruskin and many more. Enjoy!

ona:v is a Polish-born DJ, producer and promoter with an ear for groovy dark techno and emotive electro. A scientist by day and a DJ by night, the Edinburgh-based artist is an integral figure in her locale. Founder of the female and non-binary collective EPiKA, she curates a bi-monthly party called CiRCLE, where she books female and non-binary names from the harder side of techno and electro. In 2021/22, she streamed from Berlin’s HÖR Radio. In addition to her residency and internal work at Sisu, she garners three radio residencies on Fnoob, EHFM and Threads. Labels including Pollination UK, Let’s Techno and Paradise Palms Records have released her driving productions, with an upcoming debut EP on Diffuse Reality.

She’s inspired by Mathew Jonson in the way he uses tracks by Gary Newman, Kraftwerk and Legowelt in his DJ sets and his use of Prophet 5 Synthesizers in his own productions, creating the sound Rebecca loves to use in her own music. She’s also inspired by Dixon and his 10/12 hour sets which incorporate dance, deep melodic, afro and techno in ways that inform Rebecca’s own DJ sets. She’s done DJ mixes for many radio shows & podcasts and played at London clubs such as Orange Yard, Egg and many others.
