Helping me Draw The Line this week, with her guest mix in the second hour, it’s DJ Lodzikosky, who’s based in Egypt. She learnt to DJ in 2018 under the guidance of DJ duo Enrico Velos and Salama Roh. Since then she’s established herself as a presence on the Egyptian music scene and has performed with the best DJs in Egypt at Coco Loco Beach Club in Hurghada. She’s appeared at the leading clubs in Egypt and organized her own events at the Four Season Nile Plaza in Cairo. She owns her own label, Lodzikovsky Records, releasing music by talented Egyptian and overseas artists.

Gyorgy Udvardy was born in 1978, Budapest, Hungary. He experienced electronic music in 1993, and four years later he started producing under the name MiraculuM. His first official release came in 2004, when he won a remix competition for the official Hungarian Loveparade hymn. At that time, his music was primarily goa trance, with a touch of 90s nostalgia and influences from Holland's emerging new wave sound.

In 2008, after spending a year in Norway, he began bedroom DJing and exploring more progressive and deeper music. This shift had a profound impact on his productions, leading to a slower, cleaner, and more atmospheric style that quickly gained attention from various labels. Over the years, his tracks were signed to notable imprints such as Balkan Connection, Soundteller, Clinique, Slideways, and Lowbit. His track 'Constellation' was even included in the legendary Masters-Series compilation mixed by Nick Warren and released on Renaissance. His first artist album, 'Die Quelle Der Seele,' was released by Stripped Recordings in 2015.

In 2011, alongside Erich Von Kollar and Greyloop, he founded Stellar Fountain Records, which quickly established itself as one of the world’s top 100 progressive house labels. During the 2020s, the label shifted its focus towards organic house, expanding its sound palette while maintaining a strong presence in the deep progressive genre.

Over the years, Gyorgy’s musical focus has increasingly leaned towards organic and deep house sounds, often incorporating jazzy and disco elements. His monthly mix show airs on DI.FM’s Progressive channel, where he showcases his evolving sound. Recently, he released his second artist album, 'Empty Spaces,' which explores downtempo and drum & bass, further showcasing his diverse musical palette.

Jacki-E & P-Mac are influenced by techno, deep house, jungle, dnb and the ethos of the acid house raves and festivals of the early 90's.  If you listen carefully you can hear the underlying stories which have influenced them in their preference for the darker edge of electronic dance music.

Still, her high BPM has a particular realm of Psytrance blended with Techno, attracting a mixed audience that appreciates her energetic style and musical diversity.
