Helping me Draw The Line this week, with her guest mix in the second hour, it’s Atek, a young techno DJ from Cologne in Germany. She’s passionate about techno music and the way it moves people, brings them together and the emotions it evokes. Recently she’s DJ’d at various clubs in Essen, Cologne and Saarbrücken and she’s a member of the collective Konturlos111, which has already made a name for itself in the German techno scene. With powerful hard techno sounds and fast basses from 150 BPM she doesn’t let anyone’s feet stand still.

She first got her paws on the turntables back in 2008, She has evolved and refined her skills as a breakbeat freak throughout the years- bringing her unique sound to energetic house parties, underground raves and Vibrant nightclubs throughout the midwest and east coast. Jacki-E & P-Mac are influenced by techno, deep house, jungle, dnb and the ethos of the acid house raves and festivals of the early 90's.  If you listen carefully you can hear the underlying stories which have influenced them in their preference for the darker edge of electronic dance music.
