Last week I had the pleasure to play at my most loved venue in the city, actually also the venue I work and - sometimes happy sometimes sad - literally live for. 
Last Saturday we celebrated the Kabinett der Kuriositäten 6th birthday and I couldn’t be any prouder. Except sharing the stages with such amazing artists like Pilocka Krack, Fritzohnekola, Arturo Rob Grooves, Claus Fussek, Sakuri, Heimlich Knüller, Ikarus and Valentin makes the proudometer overdeliver its measures and makes me blush a little till this moment.  

Since I got asked a lot if I will upload my Set and since my last uploaded recording is probably a year old I finally pressed the record button. 
So put your little crowns on your heads and get on the carriage, driving you from pitched down disco, over Hip-House to real Techno Bangers.

✔️ Was ist dein musikalischer Hintergrund?

Der musikalische Einfluss ist einfach: Als Teenie war mein Traum später Rapperin zu werden - Hip Hop hat mich damals total geprägt. Gleichzeitig hat mich auch die damalige Techno-Szene in meiner Heimatstadt Köln gut auf Trab gehalten und so habe ich mich durch die verschiedensten elektronischen Genres getanzt. Ganz der Teenie-Traum ist es dann nicht geworden, aber ich liebe es weiterhin mit verschiedenen Genres zu spielen, musikalisch immer wieder Neues auszuprobieren und vor allem Hip Hop und Rap Elemente im Downtempo/Slow-Rave unterzubringen.

✔️ Was macht deiner Meinung nach eine gute Afterhour aus?

Wenn der Dänsfloor bebt und der Schweiss von der Decke auf die Technik tropft (uff!), solch eine Afterhour wie das legendäre Lieblings-Theater des Mensch Meiers! <3

✔️ Wie hast du den Gig empfunden?

Ein absolutes Theater im Theater und ein paar mystische Kreaturen waren auch dabei!

This is Draw The Line Radio Show with Jacki-E, presenting the best music from female producers and DJs.

Now it’s time for this week’s guest mix and helping me celebrate the Draw The Line’s 6th Birthday it’s Yozé a techno DJ / Producer based in Istanbul in Turkey. Her DJ-ing journey began in her bedroom, moved to her kitchen, to friends' studios, DJ contests at the University of Bogazici and then the DJ booths at Istanbul's finest clubs. In 2023 she travelled to play in Germany, Finland, Vietnam, and Sweden. Her 2024 diary is filling up fast with bookings in Finland, Germany, Sweden, Spain and Turkey. Her tracks have been released by Airborne Black, Animarium, Pure Black and many others. Earlier in 2024 she won the remix contest for “Bell” by Mha Iri which led to a release on Drumcode.

November 25th marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, a reminder of the urgency to stand against all forms of gender-based violence.  

In solidarity, I’ve recorded my 90 minutes set at OXI Club from last weekend; blending intensity and emotion to honour survivors and raise awareness. 
Music is a universal language, and this set is my contribution to amplify voices, spark reflection, and inspire action.  

Together, let’s create a world free from violence. Every action matters. Every voice counts.

INVERNO Berlin based Techno dj and FLINTA++ rights activist is our warmly invited artist to being loud at this day, to say something AGAINST VIOLENCES AGAINST FLINTA++.
They recorded this set during one of their performances at OXI Berlin and will be now available on mercyTecho on Nov.25 .

A little story about why it's called Techno Hero:
Regardless of your past life and background, it's never impossible to change it, and say... For many years until I started making techno, I have been on the other side of the law with criminal activity and prison sentences and rough behavior... But this changed on March 15, 2022... My then-girlfriend and I went our separate ways, and then there I was... And of course I was sad, and it hurt... But I stood that day and wanted to have a free mind, and accept that I was who I was, and started producing techno... It turned out pretty quickly that I could do something with this... It has become my path and I have found a mental peace that has made me different than I was before I started... Techno is in my DNA, I have loved techno since I first heard it as a child, and now many years later, it turns out to be my calling... So Techno is my true Hero..! I also did this to prove to another hero I have, my son... That regardless of your past, you can become something... If you have talent, you just have to work hard for it, and be constant, don't give up! Thank you all listeners and fans! This is the page for Jacki-E and her own original tracks and mixes. Together with her partner P-Mac, she has two weekly radio shows, A Darker Wave, which streams every Saturday on NLive Radio, Circl8 Radio & Echo Radio, playing the best in underground techno, tech house and deep house; & Draw The Line Radio Show every Friday on Echo Radio and every Saturday on Circl8 Radio featuring the best music by female & gender minority DJs and Producers.
Jacki-E & P-Mac are influenced by techno, deep house, jungle, dnb and the ethos of the acid house raves and festivals of the early 90's.  If you listen carefully you can hear the underlying stories which have influenced them in their preference for the darker edge of electronic dance music.
Jacki-E & P-Mac write and publish their own original tracks and re-mixes, play DJ sets in clubs, at private parties and for radio shows and podcasts .
