Rave Chant was released by Mavic Music on 27th August 2024 as part of a Various Artists EP entitled  "Impressions Vol 3.'

It's a driving techno track which was first created for the Beat Collective Challenge of April 2024, in which participants are given three samples and the challenge is to create an original track in any genre using the three samples in any way you wish.

The samples for this Challenge were:-

The Gregorian Chant which I used in the Intro and the breakdowns.

The Plucked Melody which I used in the main breakdown. I separated out the voice from this sample, pitched it up and looped it through the main breakdown. 

The Rave Lead which is also in the main breakdown and immediately afterwards.

I had this "strange" track lying around for month. (The track has very special choices of speed. So the track is in 84 bpm but the kick is a 8 to the floor which basically corresponds to 168 bpm. As all the other instruments stay at 84 you can follow different speeds if you want - you can go fast with the kick or stay calm with the rest of the track or if you want you can dance to something in between. The question now is what genre the track belongs to. It is somewhere between downtempo, deep house and drum and bass.)

Jacki-E & P-Mac are influenced by techno, deep house, jungle, dnb and the ethos of the acid house raves and festivals of the early 90's.  If you listen carefully you can hear the underlying stories which have influenced them in their preference for the darker edge of electronic dance music.
Jacki-E & P-Mac write and publish their own original tracks and re-mixes, play DJ sets in clubs, at private parties and for radio shows and podcasts .
