A fulcrum point to the weekend, Jæger Mix offers the dancer a resolute conclusion, or a brand new start – depending on your perspective – with resident Ivaylo, programming the two-hour journey into the deepest echelons of club music. Joined by a new guest every week, Jaeger Mix will feature some of the best, established and nascent talents from an international club community, for an exclusive mix that will put a unique spin on our Sunday evenings.
Jæger Mix is about the seamless transitions and how that connection extends beyond the music and the DJ to the people on the floor, with the focus on downtempo, progressive and deep; and it’s various interpretations. We extend the connection even further into the digital realm each week, giving mixes the opportunity to live outside the here and now, with every recorded session available afterwards for you to re-live the experience or just to meander into a new musical personality through a selection of records.

We invite you to the first SLIMIX from our international collective of artists and djs. The inviting face of ‘Slimey’ and Third Attempt's thoughtful approach to house make a joyful and stompy mix. Slimey enjoys house music, fun-filled parties, and has a seemingly endless supply of joy and happiness to keep the party going into the morning hours. Third Attempt enjoys playing with both brass instruments and artificial intelligence when creating music.

Third Attempt guest mix - 31.03.2023

We are very excited to have one of our favourite, rising talent for mix 34.  Introducing @thirdattempt

Norwegian producer, Third Attempt, has wasted no time making his uniquely indelible mark on the subaquatic musical universe. The Oslo-based artist has released impeccably produced music on a tight selection of renowned labels, including finding a regular home on supreme Norwegian imprint, Beatservice, as well as benchmark UK
disco imprint, Paper Recordings.

The depth of his musical wisdom and the influences he carries
into his essential productions are nothing short of staggering. Traversing dreamy soundscapes that blissfully range in tone through lounge, jazz, ambient, trip-hop and house, his work is endowed with a supple musicality that belies his tender age. 

His accomplishments are all the more impressive when you take into account that he's
completely self-taught in music and production – having travelled a winding path deep into the electronic underground following his earliest exposure to the more commercial shades of the spectrum. Journeying through the experimental sounds of Ambient, Trip-
Hop, House, Techno, he's diligently studied masters to arrive at his extraordinarily refined and evolving sound signature.

Nova Funk Mix. 34 - Third Attempt

Bergen artist and DJ House on Sale comes to the Jaeger mix, and we’re definitely buying what he’s selling. Rooted in House music, but clearly expansive in his definition of the genre, House on Sale’s mix permeates with soulful and organic sounds as he travels from Disco to Deep House across 2 hours.

House on sale is a rising star on Bergen’s House music scene, and his night, Disco Paradiso and regular appearances in the city’s DJ booths have made fixture. For his first visit to Oslo, he takes on the Jaeger mix with effortless charm, channelling his sound into 2 hours during his session.

After a night of live, original music Torje Fagertun Spilde swaps the synths for the decks and dons his DJ cap as Third Attempt for Ivaylo’s Jæger Mix. Combining the tracks of others on this occasion, Torje still manages to capture the Third Attempt sound in this mix, but with tracks that border on a funkier edge. 

Keeping it deep and luscious,  Third Attempt cultivates a very tranquil mood vibe on his Æmix and Jæger, DJ debut. Guitars and sloshing synth basses bring that funk element to tracks that err on the side of downtempo balearic. Intergalactic synths and grainy surfaces like space dust pile on and float from one track to the next as Third Attempt ties a red thread through the entire mix.

“New Canvas” by Fouk and “In the Genes” by Hot Toddy stand out in this mix, and each steps up the energy from one moment to the next, to a point where you can almost feel the dance floor expand at each level. JM112 - Third Attempt

The Jaeger Mix is Oslo’s monthly ritual for deep listening and dance floor exploration, a midweek club night that doubles as a living archive of the city’s underground.
Taking place on select Wednesdays, the series pairs Jaeger resident Ivaylo with a rotating cast of DJs, producers, and live acts, capturing the sound of the night and preserving it as part of Jaeger’s ongoing story.
Each session is recorded in the club, followed by an interview with the guest, and later published as a feature on jaegeroslo.no - In this way, the Jaeger Mix lives beyond the dance floor — a document of Oslo’s electronic music culture, framed both in sound and in words.
Guiding the series is Ivaylo, a Bulgarian-born, Oslo-based DJ, producer, and curator. A long-standing Jaeger resident, label manager for Full Pupp, and founder of Lab Cleaning Jams, he has spent decades shaping Nordic club culture with his deep, soulful, and uncompromising approach to house and techno. His role in the Jaeger Mix is less about the spotlight and more about curation — weaving his own sets together with those of guests to tell the evolving story of the dance floor.
The Jaeger Mix stands as both a celebration of the present and a chronicle for the future, mapping Oslo’s nightlife one night, one mix, and one conversation at a time.
