Riding a wave from Berlin to Oslo, Alex Jangle arrived at Jaeger without even unpacking his record bag, bringing some of that Berlin “vibe” to our backyard last Sunday. Channeling some sonic echo from a stripped out bunker in the heart of the German capital, Alex Jangle transposed that spirit from clubland’s mecca to open up our Sunday night at Jaeger.

Jangle brings an intense energy to the Jaeger Mix this week with splashing hi hats, staccato keys, bold bass lines and a splattering of diva vocals throughout. Tracks informed by House music as it was in the nineties, bring an unbridled energy to this Jaeger mix, as Jangle coerces his audience on to the floor with large, pummelling beats and churning bass lines.

The Oslo DJ juggernaut and producer is no stranger to Jaeger and on his latest appearance for the jaeger mix series, he shows yet another side of the expansive musical universe that resides in his record bag. This latest mix is a long way from the trippy, broken-beat and ambient selection of tracks he played the last time he was here, finding some evocative thread to summer and indulging a corporeal dimension in his selections.

*multi-genre dj and vinyl collector who endlessly loves minimal in all its glory as well as broken beats & 90’s music. Music that tells a story, a specific sound.

The Jaeger Mix is Oslo’s monthly ritual for deep listening and dance floor exploration, a midweek club night that doubles as a living archive of the city’s underground.
Taking place on select Wednesdays, the series pairs Jaeger resident Ivaylo with a rotating cast of DJs, producers, and live acts, capturing the sound of the night and preserving it as part of Jaeger’s ongoing story.
Each session is recorded in the club, followed by an interview with the guest, and later published as a feature on jaegeroslo.no - In this way, the Jaeger Mix lives beyond the dance floor — a document of Oslo’s electronic music culture, framed both in sound and in words.
Guiding the series is Ivaylo, a Bulgarian-born, Oslo-based DJ, producer, and curator. A long-standing Jaeger resident, label manager for Full Pupp, and founder of Lab Cleaning Jams, he has spent decades shaping Nordic club culture with his deep, soulful, and uncompromising approach to house and techno. His role in the Jaeger Mix is less about the spotlight and more about curation — weaving his own sets together with those of guests to tell the evolving story of the dance floor.
The Jaeger Mix stands as both a celebration of the present and a chronicle for the future, mapping Oslo’s nightlife one night, one mix, and one conversation at a time.
