Soela is the DJ and production alias of Elina Shorokhova, a Russia-born Berlin-based experienced pianist and vocalist who has made a hugely successful transition into electronic music. 
She released her material on such labels as Kompakt, Dial, Shall Not Fade, Lost Palms, E-Beamz, Red Ember Records, Sushitech, and others. With a style that combines house, dub techno, and experimental electronica, Soela is creating versatile tracks and mixes, and collaborating with artists such as Christopher Ledger, Steve O’Sullivan, and Module One.

Mechanically inspired by the intricacies of motherboard music, she operates and programs shows on KEXP radio station out of Seattle. Her weekly program “Mechanical Breakdown” provide sounds and melodies that offer a vision of hopeful doom for restless, kindhearted souls. Constantly linked on lineups with mega hitters, like Auroral Halal at the very last Honey Soundsystem in 2020 or playing peak sets at Bite Night for Phase Fatale’s label nights at Berghain, Sharlese blasts it out of the ballpark every time. As a member of W.H. Lung, Tom Sharkett has provided electronics for one of the best bands in the UK, including on their most recent, critically acclaimed LP, ‘Every Inch of Earth Pulsates’. These DIY, indie-oriented experimentations have slowly led Sharkett to unexpected places as a solo artist in club culture, via the portal of Manchester’s legendary venue, The White Hotel, where he was inspired by inspired by cult nights such as Red Lazer and Wet Play, 

Sharkett has since collaborated with artists such as System Olympia and Raf Rundell, as well as appearing on Optimo Music and Okay Nature Records. His subtle, spirited edit of LCD Soundsystem’s ‘Home’, released as a bootleg in early 2025, has recently re-emerged on DFA Records as an official release, just in time to become an unusual wistful summer anthem. 

Sharkett captures this fruitful moment in a contribution to Phantasy’s long-running mix series, which features a smattering of currently unreleased material, while bridging Cabaret Voltaire, Slowdive, Eden Burns and even Chappel Roan. True to the eclectic philosophy of Sharkett’s DJ and production trip so far, PHANTASYMIX 53 is a rare trip.

A couple of Saturdays back, Greco Roman Soundsystem stopped by with Joe Goddard and George T and we really liked their mix. So with their approval and the memories of that Saturday, we’ve made it available to all, today. Featuring sweet melodic by the likes of Michael Jackson and the formidable grooves of everything from Disco to House, George T and Joe Goddard brings a whole heap of charm to this mix. Eclectic goes some way to describe their selections, but it’s the unbridled energy of it all, which spans even the textures of UK Garage and Acid, that has us hooked. They bring that Greco Roman light to the dance floor and beyond.

It’s a new and improved version, including live acts, live streaming and of course the recorded mix sessions by some of Oslo’s most enduring and hotly anticipated DJs and producers. Moving to select Wednesdays, the Jaeger mix or Æ Mix  finds a new home with resident DJ Ivaylo at the helm of his residency once again. Living beyond the immediate and documenting Jaeger’s sound, the Jaeger Mix series is a club night and a recorded mix series. Ivaylo programmes a journey into the deepest recesses of club music and beyond with selected guests, a Kodak moment in time of club music in Oslo.
