-It took Leonard Cohen two years to write the famous song “Hallelujah” and originally wrote 80 verses for it. The full released song features only 15 verses.

-Leonard Cohen didn’t release his first album until he was 33 and didn’t release his most famous song Hallelujah until he was 50.

Throughout the quarantine, I've been playing and listening to a lot of instrumental music, especially just piano as it's always been something to help me find a moment of calm. 

I've also been thinking of the phrase 'one day at a time' a lot and felt it was an appropriate title for a little improvisation I recorded today. I hope you're all safe and hanging in there, and that this song brings you a bit of peace the way it does for me. - Steve

P.S. The artwork is from my first trip to California from the beginning of February, when things were quite a bit calmer.
