The real Jagjaguwar, an independent record label based in Bloomington, IN.

UK-based bassist and (very) part-time composer.  Music for fun unless you're paying. You'll likely see an influx of activity on here every few months when I need to scratch the creative itch as the job and family life allows.

This Is Colossus
Electronic music created predominantly with just an iPad mini running Korg Gadget and sometimes other apps or using 'the full works'. Stylistically? No idea. Somewhere between Nik Barsch Ronin's odd-time 'zen funk', ambient synths, 4 to the floor fonk mixed with whatever I'm listening to at the time. My mate Pete reckons some of it is a bit tech house. I have no idea

'African' inspired music created in partnership with @gregharwood. Polyrhythms+beats=good times

Kill It, Cook It, Eat It
My main group was a mess of Electronica with jazz harmonies; Hiphop with live improvisation; A "Jazz quartet" with a heavy heavy groove...Mike Doherty's Kill it, Cook it, Eat it is currently on hiatus until 2019 while I compose tunes worth unleashing on the world.

The Past
Previously played bass for The Great Things Wonderful and previously played bass for Geese, Daniela Bove & The Belongings, The Fat Cat Experience, Soul Survivor, Matt Chandler and Greg Harwood ('Innocent Crimes' feature film score).  I've also been fortunate enough to do gigs with some great young UK jazz musicians.
