American Soul is a journey through the heart of a modern cowboy—raw, reflective, and built on lived experience. Across nine tracks, the album blends gritty realism with emotional storytelling, capturing the quiet moments, heartbreaks, and hard-won strength that shape a man’s character.

It opens with “Cold Coffee Mornings,” a slow-burning reflection on routine and regret, before expanding into the dreamlike hope of “The Breath Between Stars.” Songs like “River Takes the Weight” and “Backroads Built My Heart” explore loss, memory, and the places that raised us, while “Porchlight Glow” brings warmth back into the darkness.

The middle of the record hits harder—“Dirt Road Revival” and “Iron In My Chest” pulse with grit, resilience, and the heavy bass of a life lived close to the edge. “Almost Had You” dives into heartbreak deep enough to leave a scar, while the finale, “Soul Fire Rising,” lifts the listener out of the ashes with a cinematic, powerful sense of rebirth.

From stripped-down acoustic moments to full-bodied, cinematic country crescendos, American Soul captures the dust, the quiet, the storms, and the resilience of a man carving meaning from a wild world—one song at a time.

Cafe Jallal is the newest creation of Gil Ron Shama, Israeli musician and co-founder of the first Israeli-Palestinian world music band, Sheva.
Ron Shama presents a new project joining the desert with the urban world in a melodious dish including Palestinian, Bedouin, and Jewish- and Arab-Israeli sacred chants ranging from traditional to renewed.

Cafe Jallal is a real yet imagined space present in modern Israeli-Palestinian society, home to joyous hafla dancing, the captivating trills of Khaliji and Bedouin music, the soul longing of Hebrew prayer, celebrating traditions and voicing universally deep intentions for peace.

A major part of Gil's life-work is to open the gate to the secrets that will lead people above and behind the narrow-minded existence of "ME" , into the open space of "US".

Gil Ron Shama is the co-founder of the Israeli world-known ensemble- 'Sheva', that won the Best Live Album of the Year Award for the 2006 IMA competition, as well as other appraised music ensembles.

Gil was appointed as a cultural ambassador of goodwill on behalf of Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Muslim countries, and was given an honor membership in several Sufi's fraternities.
