Active from the late 1980s, KAOS Krew stood out for fusing funk, reggae, and politically charged hip-hop with British sensibilities. Their debut album Mind Revolution is a key contribution to underground UK hip-hop, reflecting their focus on education, empowerment, and challenging social inequalities.

TJ Chill the founder of the group, has been an ambassador for the genre, hosting a show on Itch FM promoting UK artists. His recent solo work, including the 2023 album Concerned Citizen continues his deepening legacy. TJ Chill has contributed to the hip-hop community as co-founder of Sensei FM and through his involvement with the annual UK Hip Hop Honours Awards.

Jonie D, a London rapper with Italian roots, emerged in the 1990s on Ladbroke Grove’s Positive Beat label, fusing musical genres with lyrical depth. His early EP Which Base, was influential in shaping his career as an innovative artist. He has collaborated with a range of artists, including DJ Propser , AWOL Collaboration and LSK . Recent albums SENA (2024) and Infinite Purpose (2023) showcase his enduring relevance.
