FELIVAND is a vocalist, producer, songwriter and bassist based in Naarm/Melbourne, Australia. With a sound blended in alt-pop, alternative R&B and bedroom pop, her music is melancholic, suave and soothingly introspective.

Jake Amy is one of Australia’s most in-demand keyboardists and has performed with an ever-expanding array of exciting Australian and international artists such as Grammy nominated artist Ambrose Akinmusire, ARIA Music Award winner Kaiit, gold-selling artist Wafia and South Sudan’s “King of Music” Gordon Koang. Originally born and raised in the regional town of Wonthaggi, Jake has gone on to tour extensively around the world, perform in stadiums to over 30,000 people and on television, most recently appearing on the broadcasted State Memorial Service for Dame Olivia Newton-John AC DBE alongside Bumpy. Jake has also appeared on ABC’s television music quiz show ‘Spicks and Specks’ and Channel 10’s breakfast show ‘Studio 10’. 

 

Jake has supported internationally renowned artists such as Thundercat, Cory Henry, Sampa The Great, Hiatus Kaiyote, Paul Kelly, Joy Crookes, Chaka Khan, Nile Rodgers and Odette.

Maddie Jackway marries introspective folk with catchy pop hooks and soulful vocals to create a union that is uniquely hers.  With melodies and vocals reminiscent of Yebba and Adele, Jackway creates music for overthinkers and deep-feeling individuals with an authenticity and earnestness that is hard to ignore.  Jackway’s vocal mastery captivates audiences in both recordings and live performances, drawing them into her world as she explores the multi-faceted human condition, yet leaving enough for the listener to ponder on.

Since the release of her debut EP, What Is This Freedom? in May 2020, Jackway has been busy establishing herself in the music scene; notably as a commissioned songwriter in the biannual Art and Industry Festival (Melbourne), opening for Alex Lahey and The Smith Street Band on The Push All Ages Tour (Warrnambool leg) and in the same month performing as a billed artist at the 2022 Port Fairy Folk Festival. 

In 2023, she returned to Victoria University as the Music Artist in Residence where she created and co-produced her sophomore EP, Kindred, with keyboardist Jake Amy.   The EP’s lead single, mid-tempo, pop-soul You Make Me Look Over My Shoulder showcases an evolved sound from the songwriter, featuring haunting vocal harmonies and hypnotic rhythmic elements while lyrically detailing being ghosted by someone and the anxiety of when their paths will cross again.  Jackway describes the new body of work as a shift from her first release and explained: “I’ve always said that I won’t be boxed into one genre and you can hear all of my different influences in this body of work”.
