Daughter of famous 20s-era organists Preston & Edna Sellers, BARBARA SELLERS (1930-2014) performs her arrangement of Leroy Anderson's "Belle of the Ball," from an album by the same name. It was recorded at the Music Box Theatre in Chicago and features a custom Allen Organ built in the 1980s.

Jake Boring is a composer, conductor, orchestrator and saxophonist. Jake has recently composed over 30 scores including a Coca-Cola Regal Film commercial that aired in Regal Theaters nationwide during summer 2019. Four of Jake’s films have screened at the Cannes festival in France. 

Jake completed degrees in Composition, Saxophone and Business Economics at UCLA. He was the recipient of the Jerry Goldsmith Film Scoring Scholarship, the Henry Mancini Award for Composition of Music for Motion Pictures & Television and the Colburn Scholarship. His principal composition teacher was nine-time Emmy winner Bruce Broughton. 

Jake has received national recognition for his work for the concert stage. In 2019 he was selected as a national finalist for the American Prize Contest. In 2018 the Encore Saxophone Quartet commissioned Five for Four, which has been performed nationally and internationally. In 2017, Jake was a finalist in the Finale’s National Young Composers Contest, selected for the American Composers Concert at Liberty Hall in Hollywood and commissioned by the FreeLAncers concert series.

Jake was a 2018-2019 Society of Composers and Lyricists Mentor and was recently a Remote Control Productions intern. Jake is currently interning for Benjamin Wallfisch. When he’s not around instruments you can find him backpacking or trying to find ways to take advantage of his private pilot’s license.
