THE RODEO is the story of an aspiring rodeo star as he chases his dream to make it in the big leagues. Accompanied by his faithful dog, Bishop Mojave, Our Hero travels the country following the path of the amateur circuit in hopes that each stop will get him closer to his dream of making a living in the Rodeo. THE RODEO is based both on a real person, as well as my own experiences traveling the country, chasing dreams.

Maurice Fontaine sort son premier Album LP solo sous le pseudonyme dʼEmil Möwe. Après plus de quarante années de musique intermittente au sein de nombreuses formations et autant de chansons écrites et composées au fil des rencontres il choisit de donner naissance et dʼincarner le personnage fictif Emil Möwe. Mal à lʼaise avec lʼétat civil qui « limiterait son identité » à un acte de naissance, le choix de son pseudonyme ne doit rien au hasard. Il est le résultat dʼune rencontre avec le personnage fictif Emile Mouette, « chuchoteur public » dont la biographie fait étrangement écho à celle de son grand-oncle paternel Emile M., marin au long cours, bourlingueur des mers, dont il suivit, enfant, les aventures planétaires à travers les cartes postales reçues par sa grand-mère.

Maurice Fontaine released his first  solo LP under the pseudonym of Emil Möwe. After more than forty years of intermittent music in numerous formations and as many songs written and composed, he chooses to give birth and to play the fictional character Emil Möwe. Uncomfortable with the civil status that would “limit his identity” to a birth certificate, the choice of his pseudonym owes nothing to chance. It is the result of a meeting with the fictional character Emile Mouette, «public whisperer» whose biography strangely echoes that of his paternal great-uncle Emile M., a long-distance sailor, a sea bummer, of whom he followed as a child, the planetary adventures through the postcards received by his grandmother.
