Music I like

"Amphibiosity" is an arrangement by the English composer Martin Ellerby. It was originally commissioned for the Mountbatten Festival of Music, the annual event featuring the massed bands of the Royal Marines held annually at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

The arrangement features traditional marches and hymns germane to the music of the Royal Marines Band Service. This finale section incorporates three of those, 'Victory', the traditional navy hymn 'Eternal Father Strong to Save, and a vibrant arrangement of 'By Land and Sea' the slow march of the Royal Marines.

Recorded at Chandlers Ford Methodist Church 26th-28th February 2024 by the Band of His Majesty's Royal Marines Portsmouth (The Royal Band) by Music House Productions, www.musichouseproductions.co.uk/. Catalogue number MHP 324.

Amphibiosity - finale Martin Ellerby

This is a track Daniel White and I have been working on since November which thematically describes the death and burial of Christ based on the Gospel of Luke. The material we covered in this track include the following:
 
-Laboring on the cross
-Interacting with the two theives on either side of Him
-The darkness over the land
-The tearing of the veil
-- Concluding Daniel's portion - approx. 3:45 --
-The last moments of Christ on the cross
-Yielding up of His Spirit
-The Centurion's Enlightenment (feat. Allyson Horner)
-Joseph securing Christ's body (feat. Noah Woelfel)
-The Prepping of His Body
-The Sealing of His tomb

This track will be apart of an upcoming Easter album called "Resurrection" put together by the Rhapsodize Music Network.

James Everingham is a British film composer and producer. James discovered a passion for both music and film in his early teens and instead of a formal musical education, developed his signature sound through years of playing piano and percussion purely by ear and intuition. Inspired by great composers such as Bach and Elgar, James’s musical upbringing created a strong foundation for his powerful melodies and orchestrations.

James’s recent work includes BBC’s Frozen Planet II (with Hans Zimmer and Adam Lukas), the multi-award winning National Geographic film Apollo: Missions to the Moon and NBC’s Super Bowl LVI show open.
