A work for solo Flute written for Gavin Osbourne of Trio Atem. 
This piece explores choice between multiple paths. Each choice has stark implications for the trajectory of the piece as well as the amount of improvising the player has to do. The levels of improvisation include graphic scores, free noteheads, timbral improv and even completely free improvisation. This is an extremely aleatoric piece that has a different structure every time it is performed. This is a performance of just one possible path.

Around you lies the gentle valley, green meadows and the soft sound of cattle bells. Above, huge grey ridges loom through gaps in the dappled trees, majestic and terrifying in their enormity.
