Very simple with subtly place dissonance. Love it.

A push of determination. They will not be conquered. Evil has come, and it pursues its goal with a burning passion. But this wall shall stand.

PROGRAM NOTES
The word ‘pyro' has a few different meanings. It can denote fire, heat, or temperature, but the meaning that most inspired this piece comes from the word 'pyromaniac', which is used to describe someone who has a compulsion to set things on fire. In particular, I was most influenced by a by a surreal, somewhat grotesque artwork by David Lynch called Boy Lights Fire (2010), in which a boy holds a book of matches in his left hand and a lit match in his right hand, while someone (perhaps his mother) appears in the distance, arms stretched out, seemingly in shock. I imagined the boy lighting their house on fire, and the house gradually burning to the ground. Pyro was commissioned by Michael Barnes.

  A bumblebee - with disability
  Born without wings - and so fragility

[Part "HOT DAY"]
  On that day it was so hot
  As i bent down to her - she's got - "my heart"
  There is no way - to survive in this heat
  As she crawled helpless - and alone on the street

[Part "FOUND AND TAKE WITH ME"]
  As she crawled onto my hands - so quickly
  I took her in the car - and  take her with me
  I guess i never understood - that the feelings she could give me 
  Would be as - great as her pain - she’s born so sickly 

[Part "FEEDING AND TRAINING"]
  I just put treacle on some sponges
  And drizzled with honey - she began - to lick with fondness
  I teach her how to climb up high - on a stem towards to the sky 
  Training to strengthen her legs - had commenced

[Part "CLIMB THE FLOWERS"]
  And you began to climb the stem
  Hoping that you will find them
  The blossoms of your dreams
  At least that's how it seems
  That she didn't forget - her native tongue - "i guess"

[Part "MEET THE BEES]
  Climb up to the blossom - at the top 
  I hope you find some sweet - nectar drops 
  The bees which fly with care - you will met up there 
  Tell them which pollen - are the best to gather here
 
[Part "FANCY MELODY"]
  Little bumble bee - without wings 
  Dance the sunlight melody - when she sings 
  The song 'bout redolance - and the joy of this life
  She's dances for us - so grateful to be alive 

[Part "CHOSEN FOR US"]
  When you stepped into our life 
  Was the point we realized 
  How precious it is - to found someone to trust
  You have carefully considered - and chosen for us

[Part "COMMUNICATE"]
  You was pretty god at knowing
  What you want to eat - with the flowers and blossoms
  She had a personality -trying communicate with me
  And i'd be like - "What are you try ing to tell me?"

[Part "MUSIC"]
  She likes nice music - i think
  Vibrations of our voices - when we sing 
  She would listen to that sound
  Whenever we're around
  It really - calmed her down 

[Part "THE EYES"]
  The bees flying their rounds - when she dance
  With the bittersweeting sound - of buzzing wings 
  Her pair of large - compound eyes
  Which covers - much of her surface
  Makes her smile - and let the world embrace


[PART [Happy Ending The Waggle Dance]
  'Come on, let's do the waggle dance
  Dance the figure eight and clap your hands
  Put your heads into the blossoms to taste the sweet honey
  Is much better than be lonesome without wasting any money

  Fly! little bee jump off on my knee
  I fly you through the galaxy
  Through the garden of lilys, roses and lavender
  I ride with you together from april 'til september

  Between and above there are three simple eyes
  Which are able to provide information of the light
  The lovely waggle dancing bumblebee 
  Crawls close to our hearts - in full intensity
  
  The wisdom she has gained has spent her time again
  Throw off your load of the day and do the waggledance again
  We're all will dance through the day and night 
  We're all are fight for the waggledance right
  
  Without any confession without any professsion 
  The bumblebee will teach us, the waggledance lesson
  Thirty days to live is a lot quite short
  But it's long enough for you and me to fell in love

  We don't need any wings we don't feel any shame
  We're all want to dance and we're all want the same
  We're all are equal - we're all feel the gain
