This is about how life is constantly presenting challenges. We must learn from each incident/experience and use that learning to try and be more resilient and be able to move forward. 
I wrote it on my 3/4 size Hofner classical guitar. It’s first song! I used open G tuning after being encouraged to try it by Mark Spruce (Original Spruce - great songs- give them a listen!). Thanks Mark!

a French boy told me the ghosts of drowned sailors grab your legs and dragged you down
I wouldn’t go in! 
Too naive and trusting! 

As a teen, I was all over the place! 
Always confused, just didn’t know which way to face
Too many temptations, suggestions and thrills, distracting and wild

Faith, family, patriotism, the military - and, of course - Texas! are my loves and what I write about. I have no musical training, but started out writing poetry. I am here to keep that little fucker in line.. Do not  let crutches become the normal way you walk through this beautiful world.  Make mistakes and learn.  Now I make drug music for sick hero’s.  I have walked on water 3 times in my life.   Climbed 1 mountain completely naked. As an artist my influences are the world around me.  As the world changes so will my art.  I like to dabble in rock with heavy guitars, acoustic, and electronic music.  I also enjoy the music of every artist out there that gets up and goes to their day job only to hurry home and spend endless hours creating their passion.. stay well my friends drop a line, check in and just say hi…I will do everything in my power to respond.

I’m a singer/songwriter from Guildford, Surrey, England. I started writing songs when I was 12 on a piano but really got into it when I started playing the guitar at 13/14. As with so many of us, career and family became the priority and I stopped writing over a 30 year period. Now I’ve retired, I’ve finally got time to write and record again and I love it! 
I play everything on the songs and record on my MacBook on GarageBand. Still learning!
