Weaving wistful, introspective lyrics into a densely layered landscape of samples and sonic textures, “The Itch” interrupts reality and inserts an altered state of being—outside consensual time and space—in the here and now.
 
If reality posits a stable relation between body, consciousness, and environment, “The Itch” longs for its reversal: An oscillating movement, floating without ground, piecing reality back together through melodically recurring memories. In another register, one would call this desire. In yet another, the virtual.

Basile3 announces debut album with first single ‘In the clouds’

43°C, the debut LP by French electronic producer Basile3, is the result of a decade of cultivating a musical identity that focuses on hybridization, sonic recycling, and playfulness. The enigmatic title “43°C” signifies a haze of bliss (4+3=7, the producer’s lucky number) backdropped by the ecological state of a world that’s grown slightly but surely warmer. In this anticipation fiction, Basile3 offers a soundtrack that is an exploration of urban electronic music, minimalist techno and lofi house. Basile warmly invites listeners to his state of mind, blooming with genre-bending floating soundscapes.

The first single “In the clouds” is a groundbreaking track that seamlessly blends Breakbeat, Drum & Bass, and Abstract IDM Leftfield. With its percussive rhythms and deep basslines and melodies, Basile3 offers us a glimpse of his anticipation fiction.

Basile3 has developed his sound and identity through multiple intimate artistic collaborations across the UK and Europe. This is shown from his early participation in Gang Fatale (London’s former “nerd kids” club music collective), to his recent live and studio collaborations with InFiné labemates (Deena Abdelwahed, Sabrina Bellaouel, Gaspar Claus), as well as his latest collaboration with AD93’s Minor Science. It’s, thus, no surprise to find many collaborations on his debut album, which features the vocals from Thelma Cappello, Daisy Ray, Lloydfears and Lucy Sissy Miller,  Minor Science‘s work on the mix, and the artworks by Thelma Capello.

Nothing is intrinsically good or bad, according to Spinoza. But we tend to apply these terms to anything and everything, typically to serve our own advantage. This track, inspired by the philosophy of Baruch Spinoza, as are the other tracks off our latest EP, strives to offer an unique soundscape, but in no way do we want to suggest that it is "good."

Nothing is good in and of itself

In Emotive Intelligence, Imo Kashi blends tight breakbeat percussion with a nostalgic piano to craft a soundscape that speaks directly to our emotional intelligence. This ambient electronic track takes the listener on a deep journey into the subconscious, where rhythm and introspection merge to explore the most intimate shades of the human experience.

”Trying to keep the same vibe I’m known for but always wanting to go heavier “ 
And yes, he goes heavier, he bangs that nail on it’s head fulfilling the intention with one blow and bangs it again for good measure.
These three tunes bring that glitchy sound that in the USA is often associated with artists like Tipper, Joe Cicada, Resonant Language, KLO etc, however BRĀN has been dropping goods like this for quite some time and has utilized that time to refine his sound into something unique.
These tunes hit hard with a clarity that knocks the kilter off-kilter and then, to keep you on your toes, knocks it back on and off-kilter a few more times. The glitch is strong in this man and he makes it known, the production is top notch, the sound is crisp and clean and the bass hits you in all the good spots.
We hope you enjoy these tunes as much as we do.

James Young steps up for his first release on QRUK with the Nagasaki EP, a dark and driving UKG cut that leans into the moodier edges of Garage and Speedy G. The North Wales-based producer has already made waves with House releases on labels like Smashin Trax and Pogo House, but this new EP sees him pushing into heavier, more dancefloor-focused territory. Nagasaki is packed with chopped-up drums, eerie textures and a tough low-end that hits hard.

On remix duties is Kabo Cana, returning to the label after making a big impression with his debut I DON'T UNDERSTAND. His take on Nagasaki flips the original into a more club-ready, 90s inspired roller full of sub pressure and tight percussion. It's another strong showing from the Manchester-based producer who's quickly becoming an exciting name in the new wave of UKG.
