DEMENZA CHARITY NIGHT - ROOM 2 SET [25-02-23]

Sydney Rave History is a collective Facebook group for Sydney ravers, clubbers & DJs to connect and reminisce through streams and events. They hold a Livestream marathon spanning 3 to 4 days every long weekend, which is usually reserved for Sydney DJs to share their musical memories. As a UK ex-pat DJ, it was a huge honor to have played alongside some true Sydney DJs legends during this Easter Long weekend streaming marathon. This is my interpretation of a rave history set, based upon my experience growing up in the early 90s, UK.

Billy Scurrys mixtapes in the early 90s were legendary around dublin and they were part of the soundtrack to my youth. They are the subject of many forums and you can find some of them online but with poor sound quality so i did this mix for my own listening pleasure and it has brought me right back to that time, i hope it will do the same for you. I've been DJing since 1985 and play a range of styles Old Skool, Breaks, all things House, Balearic etc. I love making my own edits and remixes, especially old skool. I ran & still run numerous club nights. Played at some amazing clubs and outdoor parties throughout Europe & Asia and was heavily involved in the U.K rave/free party scene and hugely inspired by D.i.Y and their ethos of parties/music. I also used to run a label & dance record shop in the 90's. I recently won the Sasha classics FB group DJ  competition and supported Ian Ossia and DJ Vertigo in Leicester/Manchester.
