Vivek Patel is a monster trumpet player and musician, and I was thrilled when he jumped in with Mirko, me and many other jazz players on a tribute to Miles Davis we recorded several years ago.  The fantastic and always grooving Mirko Borach - aka Stringburner - once again anchors the electric bass here.  Vivek's horn playing is exceptional...his beautiful haunting tone, his inside and outside playing as Miles did.  And Mirko's funky slap bass playing is tight and nasty. "It's just a hobby!"

I bought my first guitar about 10 years ago, I was 56 years old. I had wanted to learn long ago and decided with my early retirement, now was a good time! I had no musical experience but with the help of many YouTube videos (mostly JustinGuitar.com), I started to learn. Along the way, I wrote my first original song and started videoing and recording my music, both originals (@lenaloise) and covers (@lenaloisecovers). My first song was posted about 5 years after that first guitar!

My music "hobby" has really grown since I started! Many guitars, pedals, gadgets, equipment! But it's a hobby! I work hard for every note and learning this instrument at an older age is different from starting in your teens! My page is a mix of things that I enjoy in my "hobby"! I record "almost live" with minimal takes and editing. I strive for fun, not perfection, and I learn as I need to for that enjoyment!

Since I make my economical living as Engineer, I have total freedom from drumming and musical point of view, so I’m not “married” with a unique style and I’m basically playing what I want to play: I have played mostly rock (bands with our own music), but also pop, world, kind of jazz, even classical percussion pieces (I studied classical percussion in the music conservatory in Valparaíso, Chile when I was child/11 years old). Nowadays I’m very dedicated to play/study/investigate my drumming, mixing acoustic with electronics, and once a month I upload a drumming video in my Instagram and youtube, trying to make a drumming contribution.
