Funk Yeah!

I'm just a guy with a guitar...and a bass, a banjo, a mando, a fiddle, a lot of harmonicas, bongos, a keyboard and a mic.  I play all original songs, mostly singer-songwriter, alternative, grunge, folk, bluegrass, reggae, blues or indie.  Sometimes my friends lend a hand recording, but mostly I play all instruments in these songs.  My name is Jason Steen and I am the sole member of Dyslexic Soul.

I'm really interested with collaborating with other musicians. Please don't be shy, creating music with others is so much more fun than doing it alone ;)

Jazz/Fusion keyboard player, composer and producer.  Marketing, advertising, publishing and sales career.  Originally from Chicago, where I developed a strong appreciation for the blues and classical, and moved to New York, where jazz and the fine arts are so deep.  Key musical influences include Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Jimi Hendrix, Joe Zawinul and Weather Report, Chick Corea and Return to Forever, John McLaughlin and the Mahivishnu Orchestra, Stanley Clarke, Scott Henderson and Tribal Tech, Jeff Beck and Jan Hammer, Mike Stern, John Scofield, Pat Metheny, Emily Remler, McCoy Tyner, Bill Evans, John Coltrane, Jimmy Smith, Joey DeFrancesco, Larry Young, Buddy Guy, Santana and Earth Wind & Fire.   Former classical clarinet and piano player.  Unless noted, my music on SoundCloud was composed, recorded and performed using only keyboards.  An avid photographer.  Many covers here are my shots. My music is very instinctive. I like all kinds 
of music even if I attend most assiduously 
 Pop, Classical and Jazz.
I compose mostly with the piano but 
I'm experimenting  with the composition
 with acoustic guitar. I enjoy playing Sax 
and Trumpet (keys) in my tracks and in 
collaboration with other soundclouders.
I write and sing in Italian lyric and I am
 improving my singing in English. I hope
 my passion for music can give
 you some nice feeling.
