Thought I'd throw up a funky track with many syncopated layers.  I started with an internet guitar backing track and as the tune progressed, a John Scofield Uberjam  / a GoGo vibe came out - without John's unreal guitar playing over the top. I've been playing guitar with varying degrees of devotion for about 30 years. I love to play and record every chance I get and have really enjoyed my time on SC so far.  My musical influences are guitar greats such as Hendrix, SRV, Jerry Garcia, Jimmy Page, Duane Allman, Robben Ford, Mike Bloomfield, Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks. I love listening to other people's music and drawing inspiration from their talents.  Most of all I appreciate all of the support from the community here and look forward to spending a lot more time. :)

This site is dedicated to "The Band Spectrum" & Alumni, based in Sacramento CA. performing and recording during the 1980's and 1990's throughout The Western United States and Alaska. Band leader & founder R.I.P. David Repace(photo-center)
         Primarily booked as a Top 40 group that worked 5-6 nights, 45-50  weeks a year, the group continued to record originals and demos routinely, with hopes to land a record deal. The groups temporary manager Marty Hom, added vocal act "Mahogany Dream"  to the billing while Spectrum band members musically backed up the three vocalists. The newly found group    
quickly started opening for established R&B recording artists such as; Kool & The Gang, The Whispers, and  Kenny G., performing original compositions composed by Spectrum's leader Dave Repace. 
        Unable to resolve their differences, Dave Repace of Spectrum adopted lead vocalist Annette Jones from (Mahogany Dream) and continued to perform without Marty Hom's business skills. Mahogany Dream opened auditions for a new 3rd lead vocalist to replace Annette Jones, while manager Marty Hom  moved on to become a 40-year industry veteran, Hom is the longtime tour manager of Barbra Streisand and Fleetwood Mac, and has also worked with Shakira, Bette Midler, Lionel Richie, The Eagles, Alicia Keys, Shania Twain and Janet Jackson. Hom was deposed by AEG as an expert witness in the Michael Jackson wrongful death lawsuit.

Vinnie V. Brought up in Sacramento, California, Vinnie V. began learning Saxophone in the 8th grade. Under the direction of Nick Angiulo (R.I.P.), Vinnie studied music theory in High School graduating with a Scholarship from The Sacramento Jazz Society and The Louis Armstrong Jazz Award. Vinnie V. was awarded Most Outstanding Mexican American in his graduating class 1982.
In 1983 Vinnie V. studied under, Dr. Jack Wheaton (R.I.P.)(Professor at Dick Grove School of Music), and Boyd Phelps (Lead Alto Saxophonist for Stan Kenton Band), and has rubbed elbows with musicians or groups such as; Count Basie, Grover Washington Jr. , Bill Withers, Collage, Con Funk Shun, Robert Brookins and The Tubes.
Vinnie V. has performed alongside or with The Whispers, Al Hurt, Richie Cole, , Kenny G., Jessica Williams ,Kool & The Gang, Mahogany Dream, Derick D.O.A. Allen (Bassist for Janet Jackson), DMAN (R.I.P.)(Keyboardist for Bobby Brown), Dennis Austin(Musical Director for Bobby Brown), Bobby G. (Guitarist for Earth Wind & Fire) , Alejandro Lopez (Guitarist for Julio Iglesias), Michael Samuels (R.I.P.)(Drummer for Sly & The Family Stone) Wild Hair, Spectrum, Jimmy Pailor, Bob Clements, Tom Peron, Interplay, Channel 40 TV Band, many others...
In 2002 Vinnie V. graduated from S.C.C. with an Associate of Arts in Music Performance and a Minor in Computer Information Science. Vinnie V. is a member of BMI, and released his debut Album in 1992 entitled "Not Lately" he has continued to compose, record, arrange, and perform his love "Music" forward to this day!
Vinnie V. is by classification an “Indie Artist”.
