Having a bit of fun on my take on traditional blues.
Playing guitar, bass and harmonica. Hammond sound and drums played/created with midi keyboard through Studio One daw.

My friends they all say, I’ve got to pay my dues.

But you gotta dig deep inside for those words that make you cry

Got me a pen and paper to write down what I’d say
Picked up my guitar and thought I’d play in the key of A
But I just drew a blank, and the words just wouldn’t come.
Maybe the mood just wasn’t right, so had me a shot of rum.
That was a big mistake,  now I can’t even play my guitar.

This song was written by one of Australia's greatest songwriters, Archie Roach, in 1990 and was included in his first album “Charcoal Lane”.   I have seen Archie live many times – he gives such great performances that I was a bit dubious about posting my own version of his song.   I justify the posting on two grounds: one, this is not one of Archie's best known songs, and, two, I have done this song many times in small venues.

It first appeared as a live video on our Facebook page, which still remains in our video section as a demo. After a lot of procrastinating, we sent some stems to Russ, who in turn sent those pieces to D. D. Danahy. And that's when everything turned around. D. D. Danahy added synth and bass. But most importantly, he breathed new life into the song, made it a cohesive thing, and gave it a brand new heading that inspired us all, and helped us see it through to its fruition. [BEAT] Emotion - Smooth Guitar Rap Instrumental - Prod. by Alldaynightshift🌗

This year I did not go on vacation. I was only 15 days at home. Fortunately there is a pool here ...

That has allowed me to listen to a lot of music and also compose more than usual.

Experimenting with FM Player 2 I found a sound that I made a chord with. The sound developed very quickly, which is unusual for me.

Imagine the incredible voice of Nathalie B20 as the song was built, but I had not proposed any collaboration.

When it was almost finished and I proposed it to her, she accepted the collaboration, which represented a double challenge for me. Mentally imagine how Nathalie would treat the song and what we could get out of it. The result is what you see here: I could not have found a better collaboration in this case.

That is why I want to thank you for the opportunity you have given me, your magnificent contribution and the patience you have shown with me.
